I hate to sound like the pretentious pc gamer here, but the kb/m controls are actually MUCH better for this game.  It would be hard to swing a door open or slide objects around with analog joysticks.  Also, it shouldn't matter too much if you suck balls at kb/m controls since this isn't really a twitch shooter.  If you can basically move a dude around using WSAD, you should be fine.

That said, if you have a 360 gamepad there is a program called xpadder that might solve your problems even without official support from the game.

@cabelhigh: yeah don't worry, mass effect 3 is coming!  There is a separate team in Bioware that has been working on the Old Republic for a long time, so it shouldn't impact Mass Effect's development in any way.

also, you are totally right about Mass Effect!  One of the most emotionally affecting stories since the good ol' infinity engine days.

I remember seeing king kong on a gamestop demo station for the first time.  I was so impressed by the graphics that i picked it up with my 360 at launch.  Don't think there is any other video game purchase I regret more than that one.

I personally like that the news is just what the giant bomb dudes pick out as "worth covering".  It kind of goes along with the personalized vibe of everything done on the site.  I also think it is kind of impossible to have a one-stop gaming website these days.  For example, as a PC gamer I love reading Rock Paper Shotgun's content.  Think of the membership money as going toward all of the other original content that Giant Bomb produces.  After all, you shouldn't pay to read summarized press releases that every other video game blog is getting for free.

I think it is because currently, smartphones and tablets are where the majority of the progress is being made in the technology industry.  Smartphone manufacturers are innovating at a breakneck pace to try to outdo each other, and now after the success of the iPad everyone is racing to the tablet market.  The home computer market, by comparison, has not been innovating at nearly the same rate.  I am with you, and I am also surprised at the lack of actual computer coverage on "computer" sites these days, but smartphones and tablets are where all the action is at right now.

I had no problems getting it to run on vista a few years back. Vista is MUCH worse than 7 compatibility wise so you should be just fine!

I would agree with you if dance central didn't require a $150 peripheral.  I do think that Dance central will definitely be the best-selling kinect game of 2011

Yeah I remember quite a few independently run servers in my counterstrike days that had a similar system and it worked really well.

Also, the idea of subscribers having priority access to TF2 (and maybe other multiplayer games in the future) servers is really great.  I can't wait to see what other benefits the Whiskey Media crew comes up with!

Steam for almost everything since I'm primarily a pc guy, but I go to whatever brick and mortar store is closest for console releases.  I love digital distribution, but I also like the instant satisfaction of grabbing a game off the shelf and excitedly driving home more than waiting for shipping for some reason.
