Dear Sony, Do not make any more SKU's

This post actually has to do with the PS3, but GB's tag system isn't working with platforms at the time.
Heres the dilemma: I want a PS3, however, I also want a good deal. That is why I did not buy one at launch. I was going to wait for a price drop. Instead, what they did was axe and strip. They axed one SKU, stripped another SKU and rereleased it at a lower price. That in addition to most of the PS3-exclusive titles making their way to the Xbox 360 led to my delay in getting one.

Finally, when they announced the new 80gb model at $399, I decided to get one. Yeah, I'm pissed at the lack of PS2 BC, but I still have an old PS2 sitting around the house. Then, right before the new SKU comes out, they announce a bigger, better bundle for $499 featuring a HDD twice as big, Uncharted: Drakes Fortune, and Pain (well its a voucher for Pain, but you still end up with 2 free games). Well, shit, obviously thats the better buy. But come November, what if they release a newer, better SKU? And how will I know they won't release a newer, better, possibly even cheaper SKU afterwards? Sony really needs to pick a SKU and stick with it. What the hell is wrong with price cuts? And why sell a stripped console? None of the feats that were stripped really bother me other than the PS2/1 BC. I have reason to believe that Sony axed PS2 BC because the PS2 is still selling (and making them lots of money, but not balancing out the loss of the PS3 manufacturing costs.), unlike the Xbox and GameCube which got discontinued shortly after their successors. That is the only logical explanation. I'm getting way ahead of myself. Point is, I hope this next SKU thats coming out in November is THE LAST ONE.

UPDATE: screw it, I'm gonna go with the lower 80GB model. I'm not waiting until November for a bigger hdd. I'll just put this in it, since upgrading the ps3 hdd looks fairly easy.
