"2009 would be year to remember because the amount of games that pushed back because of MW2 and ODST   Also, Borderlands really felt like the only "new" and innovative game this year The rest were pretty much just sequels  Looking on the bright side, I am just longing for 2010 to come :D "
Borderlands isn't innovative but it does have its own unique sense of style of gameplay.

There were some great original titles such as inFamous, BlazBlue, Demon Souls, Dragon Age Origins, Plants vs. Zombies, and League of Legends.

Sure there were a lot of sequels this year but unlike 2008 most of these sequels were superior than the original and previous games in the series, I thought there were less dissapointing games this year.

I think 2009 was a good but not a great year for gaming but I still found it to be much better than 2008, for me that was a underwhelming year for gaming.

"I dont stereotype many gamers, usually its because I have the game myself or desire to have it. The only people I do stereotype are people who play the wii, I picture them as either a housewife or young children, which to be honest is relatively true. "

Not always, but usually that is a frighteningly true stereo-type.

There are some good hardcore third-party Wii titles like No More Heroes, Muramasa, and Zack and Wiki..... other than that, thats it.

"Yes. They stereotype a lot.  And yes, they stereotype too much,  But it doesn't help now that the game industry is much much much bigger that ever before. "

When you think about it, ever since the gaming becamed a large industry, it attracted a lot of idiots ranging from facist elitists and fanatics {There were fanatics back then but now it became worse}.

What really stresses me is when most gamers often stereo-type each by a insulting a fanbase. You often hear a gamer hates a fanbase or hates a game due to its fanbase.

Examples could be: "I hate the Final Fantasy fanbase because it's full of anime nerds", "I hate the Halo fanbase because its full of fratboys {Or sometimes they say it's filled with twelve-year olds}", and "I hate the GTA fanbase because it's filled with gangsta banger wannabes."

But in reality none of these are true because there are many regular gamers who are a fan of these games and all of these are just stereo-types. Sure these stereo-types exist but really doesn't represent the community as a whole as many gamers think because in the end they're just stereo-types.

What's worst is that many gamers often stereo-type regular fans of these gaems as fanboys over one simple comment. For example: If someone says they really like Final Fantasy, Halo, Gears of War, Killzone 2, MGS or Grand Theft Auto they are automatically labeled as a fanboy by a gamer without any valid support of evidence or facts. Even in arguments when I hear someone give valid points into why they like the game I immediately see a gamer label the person a fanboy, it's ridiculous. Just because they like a game that you may not like doesn't mean they're fanatics, it just makes you hater.

I want to know your input on all of this? Do you think that most gamers stereo-type each other as fanboys too much?

I disagree, it's very good game but it loses it's luster in the third act where it's all story and gameplay is nonexistent.

I say Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy VI tops Xenogears because they have an excellent balance of fantastic gameplay and superbly written stories.
