Yeah, I'm still playing. I leveled a Jedi Knight to 30, then rerolled just to join GLHB on Mind Trick server.
I've played City of Heroes (for 3 years), and dabbled in STO, Age of Conan, and Champions Online. I got bored with the last three after a fairly short time, and thought I was probably done with MMOs after City of Heroes.
But SWTOR hits a sweet spot for me. I can't afford the time to play as much as most of my guildmates, so I always fall behind in leveling in any MMO, but in SWTOR I don't really mind. It is, as many have said, kind of a solo-oriented MMO. I can play at my own pace, make progress on the story, and the story is interesting. Sometimes I get a little huffy with the shallow nature of many of the side missions, but there's enough joy in trying to manage the 20-some buttons it takes to succeed with a Knight to keep me interested through those.
In addition, I bought my wife an account and we have a duo (Trooper and Smuggler) that we always play together. It's just as fun as sitting and watching TV together, if not more, and we get to see both storylines unfold in tandem. So far, there hasn't been any conflict between the storylines, and doing the side missions together goes fast with two people and their companions.
I don't know that I'll keep up with SWTOR for years down the road, but I expect to be playing it for several months and enjoying it for that long. Overall, it's actually my favorite MMO ever, and I can't compare it to WoW since I never played that. I continue to look forward to progressing through the story, then progressing through the story of another class after that.
