Hi all,

So it seems a new Tony Hawk Pro Skater game is in the works built on the concepts/maps from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2. Eurogamer have an article about how this was leaked ahead of time by Tony Hawk and a trailer for the game. Link to article and video.

So, what do you think? I remember playing a demo I think of one of these games on the PS1 and playing the third game on PS2 at a family members house. I do have some doubts in mind (just due to how this series has been treated in recent years in terms of the quality and bugs in game etc) but if this is done really well and has style dual joystick controls, then this could be something very special indeed.

I just had a go on the free to play weekend. The game seems pretty interesting in parts, I like the mix of classes and combat styles. There is something that can be built on (either via patching/updates to this game or in another version). What put me off is the lag that came when playing. This was prevalent in the capture the zone mode as it affected the balance of play quite a bit. If this could be resolved (not sure how, whether there is an issue with the game net code or if there needs to be more restrictions in what regions the game lets you join in to reduce cross continent delay, I don't know) and perhaps they could make the game have some seasonal updates like a live game to get people to keep coming back, then I could see the potential.

Did anybody else try it during the free to play period?

Read this earlier but wanted to say that this was a great write up. As a racing game player, this has got my interest.

Thank you for the topic mention. I read these quite often so was pleasantly surprised to see a topic I made come up in this. Well done on the 10 years to the moderators mentioned, it can be challenging hard work so fair play to you all. I hope everybody site wide (staff, volunteers, community, friends and family) are keeping safe during this challenging time.

It has been confirmed as launching today. The UK store price is £19.99 for the single player campaign and a bunch of extras to take into Modern Warfare/Warzone. This will be a PlayStation exclusive until 30th April when the game will be released to Xbox and PC players.

Link to Eurogamer update.

@darkmoney52: I have recently been listening to the Conan O'Brien needs a friend podcast. They seem to be good for joke stories but also have some interesting background on his guests. The BBC do a good Read Ringers (parodies of famous people) and Weekly News jokes podcast. Unfortunately the most recent ones have gone into Corona Virus content but old episodes are worth a listen.

Hey all,

So Eurogamer are reporting (from leaks on PlayStation Network Store) that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is going to be released tomorrow (Tuesday 31st March). This seems like PlayStation is for sure, but whether other systems such as Xbox and PC get the game is unclear, but I would suspect likely given how other games in this series release.

I am curious whether anybody else is interested in this game? I personally enjoyed playing this on Xbox 360 when it first came out (and is to date, the only COD game I have completed on Veteran difficulty) but I am little disappointed by the lack of multiplayer rumoured to be included with the game.

Just to be clear, this is rumours but it seems like multiple sources are claiming this making it seems more likely to be true (or at least some announcement or a pre-order option available tomorrow if not the full game).

Thoughts?

@vextroid: Ok, cool. Thank you for explaining this, I got confused with how all the content worked and what pack included what.

Hi all, I noticed the DLC season pass and recent other DLC has become on sale on PSN for Destiny 2. My question is, outside of the base game, what do I need to purchase to have access to all single player and multiplayer content? Do I need the Year 1 season pass too or was that part of the free to play launch? Thanks.

Great read. I really enjoyed this game and played it a lot in private lobbies. The sense of speed and flow, as you talk about, are key as is the controls feeling good. By that, I mean the car feels balanced and responsive while allowing you to do drifts and stunts. You are not on rails where it is impossible to fail is also a critical component of this game elevating itself from an also ran, to standing out on it's own merit.
