When I was first trying to download it around 10 pm EST the day it was released I was getting in the bytes/sec range. The servers bounced back quickly enough through :D
The system, until Valve implements item trading, is geared towards players who have few or no unlocks. If I was a new player with no items, I would really appreciate the system because I could get a bunch of unlocks I didn't have fairly quickly. For people who play consistently though, its frustrating to get the same items over and over again and not be able to do anything with them.
The new unlock system with a trading mechanic would be great. Valve should have released them simultaneously.
"Microsoft will refund to customers the amount paid for an out of warranty repair due to a general hardware failure associated with the e74 error message."
Is there an easy way to kill a turret if you placed it in one location, say for a Search and Destroy defense, and then want to place another one elsewhere? I shot my own turret once but I was standing too close and killed myself. Whoops...
I'm not really sure why but sometimes I have to push buttons twice for no apparent reason. For instance, after I die it will prompt me with the message "Push X to Respawn." Pushing x once consistently does nothing. I always have to push it twice.
Other than that, I got used to the turning speed and the sensitivity of the default controls. I just found the double button push thing a bit bizarre and frustrating if I keep quickly dying.
Even if it is Killzone 2 that pushes you over the edge and makes you decide to buy a PS3, I'm sure once you own it you'll find other titles that you would enjoy.
If you look at the PS3 catalog and can't find a single other game that rustles up some interest in you, then that's another story. I'd have to advise against getting one in that case.
