As someone who's generally indifferent to multiplayer FPSs, I'm having a blast. But then, I'm way into the "Mirror's Edge Lite" part of it, the frantic, fun mobility. I'm definitely not the best at straight up gunfighting.

In high school, I was way into pop punk, punk, and pop rock. It was right around the time that blink-182 and Linkin Park were all the rage. A whole lot of Taking Back Sunday, some Saosin, and for some reason Tupac.
Sometime in my early to mid twenties, I got way into classic rock, and just started appreciating it a lot more. Realized that Abbey Road and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band were two of my favorite albums of all time, and that it's perfectly fine to like pop music. In general, I opened up more to everything. Except country. NEVER COUNTRY.
Now, I just try to get as much as I can! Of Monsters and Men, Pierce the Veil, Lady GaGa, Daft Punk, MOON, Kanye West, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Goo Goo Dolls, CHVRCHES, hell, I can jam to Ke$ha if I'm in the right mindset.
@church069: I think he said he plans to pay for it upfront. So I'm thinking financing won't be an issue.
So I'm seriously building my first PC, so much so that I've gone ahead and pre-ordered Bioshock Infinite on PC despite not currently owning anything even sort of capable of running the game.
So, basic question: $800 is my targeted budget, more or less. Is this build still relevant? If it is, I'm going to take this thread as gospel and leap right into it.
Imagine my excitement at getting home after work today with my brand spanking new Wii U in my arms! Now imagine I unbox everything nice and neat, getting all the cables ready to go. And now imagine looking behind my receiver only to find that all the HDMI Ports have been swallowed up by my current consoles.
So, in thinking about maybe buying a new receiver, I hit Amazon, and got a bunch of results for HDMI switchers. My question is, do these diminish picture or audio quality in any way? Would I have to change how everything is plugged in now? And ultimately, would you guys recommend I get switcher? I really like the idea of not buying a whole new receiver...
