Shouldn't they be punishing the retails who broke the street date? Are customers supposed to know a game they find on the shelf wasn't supposed to be sold yet? If I didn't know this was some form of punishment for playing too early, wouldn't I just think this game really really sucks... like E.T. on the Atari 2600 where you just fell into a pit level of sucking?
This sounded cool when I first heard about it, but now that I've thought it through. Stupid idea.
