many many more people need to play Danganronpa, especially since that bundle of 1 and 2 just came out on ps4. It is just distilled Japanese weird and I love it so much.
how exactly do social links work in this one? I remember hearing that they changed somewhat from P4 but I have largely avoided pre release stuff for fear of spoilers. Are they voice acted? Do they seem to have any bearing on the plot, or are they side stories that benefit you mechanically and simply allow you to get to know the characters better?
@sackmanjones: I basically just want to say I agree with just about everything you've said, and it's nice to finally see someone close to what my current opinion of the game is. There are plenty of things worth critiquing with this game, but I'm still having a good time and like a lot of the promise of where things could go.
The only parts that are really whiffing for me are some of the attempts at humor. They are trying so earnestly to do some of these jokes but they just are not landing for a variety of reasons. Granted there have been a couple of lines that have gotten a legitimate chuckle out of me. But for the most part, I have no idea what people are talking about when they say that the writing is substantially worse than the older trilogy.
That's unexpected and super great to hear! I would really rather it not be on a 3DS, much prefer something like a Switch or a home console, but I'll take what I can get. Radiant Historia had so much cool stuff going for it.
I'm really hoping that either this is something the internet is completely over blowing, that I personally won't be that bothered by it, or that it can be fixed with some kind of patch. The eyes are the thing that's killing me, the way they just stare off into space and don't convey anything. As some have said above me, it makes places that are supposed to be meaningful glances into supremely awkward pauses.
I'm keeping my preorder because Mass Effect is one of my favorite series, but god I hope this isn't going to be a problem for me.
I love Austin Walker and would follow him just about anywhere at this point. I listen to Waypoint Radio regularly, and will read articles that Austin and Patrick share on Twitter. That being said, I don't really "visit" Waypoint proper because like others have said the layout of that site is just not great for finding stuff. I also have yet to feel a strong sense of "community" there. But it's still new and I look forward to seeing it change and improve.
Others I will follow on Twitter and keep tabs on what they are doing, but once they leave GB, their impact on my life is greatly lessened.
God dang it, every time someone leaves this team I get so sad. I'm gonna miss you Drew, and I hope we still see you around a lot! I also hope this means that the hiring for west will be happening sooner rather than later...
I've never understood why so many people completely dismiss ESO. I think it's one of the best MMO's out there currently (at least for what I'm looking for). It certainly has the best story content in an MMO outside of Star Wars: The Old Republic. I also think it gets the big open world thing better than just about any other MMO. But maybe that's just me.
