GOTY 2011

Games I own that I'm guessing might make this list if I had played much of them yet: Witcher 2, Arkham City, Deus Ex, Superbrothers, Gears 3

Games I don't own that would probably have a shot: Uncharted 3, maybe Saint's Row based on all the crazy hype (I wouldn't come anywhere near it if there weren't so much buzz around it. Soooo not up my alley in any way.)

List items

  • Best music, art, atmosphere in a game. Fun combat and cool customization as well! I still listen to the soundtrack occasionally too.

  • Awesome puzzle game with incredible writing. Haven't even had a chance to finish the co-op yet.

  • Wonderful art, music, gameplay. Tons of extra challenge if you want it (which I do!) Plus, I love platformers.

  • I was into this game so much for the first 50 or so hours. My problem is I run out of steam for Elder Scrolls games before I ever finish the main story. I'm sure I'll come back and finish it though.

  • Was a great concept with cool tech and a fun story that I enjoyed right up to the end. I really liked the shift of perception that happens with the main characters. Although, I was completely done with the game as soon as it ended and had no desire to play any of the DLC.

  • I love a challenging game (e.g. Rayman, Catherine, Super Meat Boy, etc.). I feel that if school hadn't bogged me down and allowed me more time to play, this would be right up at the top. As it stands though, haven't had time to get back into it with the crazy amount of other games. I will go back and finish this one for sure.

Also, the combat is awesome. The way the world all interconnects is one of the coolest things, finding the shortcuts between areas is immensely rewarding.

  • I actually liked the block puzzles. Also, really enjoyed the story until the end.

  • Fun, humorous, great concept. It felt a little repetitive towards the end though.

  • Super fun online. Pretty good single player.

  • I play a bunch of this game in short bursts (during class). Easy to pick up and play for a few minute span, except when you're on a great run and have to pause to pay attention to the professor!
