I noticed that using component cables actually makes it look sharper yet in return makes it much more pixelated therfore I would rather have it be blurrier and less pixelated so I just use the regular ole RCA cables for non HD videogames. This is just my personal preference, I first noticed it when I bought component cables for my Wii, and decided to go back to RCA. I just picked up Nocturne used and haven't tried it with component. I prefer to just use an old CRT tv for my ps2 and Wii.
