Family bought a 486 from a local shop in 1990 (can't remember the actual brand, it has long since passed), custom build in 1999, Dell in 2003 (only because it was cheaper, and I paid for that decision), custom in 2006 and custom in 2009/2010. I picked custom.
For now, the time for new games has come to an end. I've bought a house, so my funds are going to be limited for the next few months while I put some money away until I'm comfortable. Until that time, I won't be purchasing any new games. I have a substantial pile of shame, though: a number of games I've bought over the years that I've never got around to playing, or that I've played only a small amount and it fell to the wayside for one reason or another. This a fantastic time to start digging into them.
So, to you, duders, I ask: Where do I begin? I will also consider cheap games that I don't own; the only condition is that I generally won't play a sequel until I play the original. Games in a series that have absolutely no story ties, like Final Fantasy, are fair game.
I won't vote. I own both systems. I own more 360 games than ps3, and the 360 tends to get more play time from me. That's just me, though. There is a fee for multiplayer on 360, though I pay annually rather than monthly. Multiplatform games can go either way; some perform better on 360, some are better on ps3. It depends on which one is the port. The 360 is also more fragile, though that may have improved.
