Everybody else seems to like it. Sorry you're having a shitty time with it.

To be fair to the OP, neither the critical nor the fan response is universally positive. There are a lot of reviews out there that describe a lot of the same issues and a similar level of disappointment.

Nor from what I read would I not be disappointed either.

I'm struggling to parse this sentence -- I can't understand it whatsoever. Am I the only one?

No

@Village_Guy: Did you choose to get the gun or the shield? I chose the gun and it talks CONSTANTLY.

Want to really get annoyed? Switch between the gun and another weapon repeatedly for about 10 seconds. After which, the gun talks even when it isn't drawn...May have been patched, I sold the gun a while back.

I still dont understand peoples need for physical things. Digital future all the way. I yearn for the day I can download the latest new release day one on consoles. PSN is getting there.

My main concerns are : lack of HD space and service unavailability.

Disc media allows me to swap between multiple games on the fly without having to uninstall and reinstall to manage space. I would need a HD with a storage size close to 1TB for my console games to do that digitally.

Also, disc media allows for continued use past the bankruptcy date of the download service being used. If the distribution service ever folds without selling their service to another company, how will future games be downloaded?

Considering the prevalence of patches these days, especially day one patches, even having a disc won't really save you in the future if your update distribution service ever folds as you describe. You'll pull out that decade old console game only to find the patches are no longer available and you're left with a buggy wreck. Then, of course, there's DLC to factor in. Fully digital distribution isn't really any different from disc media these days in that respect.

Patches are downloaded and stored locally on the system, correct? Once downloaded, there always available. From your argument, I assume you're saying that a gamer might purchase a game for a legacy console and find it doesn't play, but I was arguing from a Day 1 purchase perspective (digital vs physical). You're right, at that point the game might be completely unplayable or at least disappointing.

From the DLC standpoint: yes, I agree even those will take up space, but most games with DLC out there have GOTY or deluxe editions post release that combine the content on physical media.

First noticeable change other than the game looking and running amazing...you no longer have to press X in order to pick up money that is on the ground.

OHGODYES. YES! YES!

I wish they did that for the ammo and eridium as well though... atleast the eridium.. Can't imagine a case where I wouldn't want to pick that up.

You do pick ammo up automatically that's on the ground, but you have to manually pick it up from chests and whatnot for some reason. Also I think the eridium thing is because of shared loot in co-op (which sucks in it's own right). I don't think you can trade eridium so no you can at least share it before picking it up.

Yeah, that makes sense. Haven't played co-op too much yet, so I was unaware of that fact.

I still remember all the PC modders finding ways to pause the Just Cause 2 demo timer, despite constant patching from the developers. That really showed the vastness of the experience. So much to do in so little time.

@OneKillWonder_: You have the air duststorm by then right? Anytime I see giants I just spam Fidget's burst and duststorm... It's not neat or precise at all but it beats going toe to toe and risky those one hit shots. Is there a challenge where you have to parry?
