The thing I liked about the twist was that although it did catch me off guard, it never took me out of the story. It made sense and it didn't feel like a twist for the sake of a twist.
I lost a year of my high school social life to the last game and I am prepared to lose a future year of post-college social life. Bring on isolation and loot.
Just for the Wii, but that's only because when I was 10 my parents sold my NES and my games (incl. SMB) behind my back. Otherwise, it'd still be collecting dust in my basement with my SNES and N64.
Im not sure if the project was to test nature vs nurture, I think it was to just genetically create the perfect soldier "
Since they were trying to create the perfect soldier, would the Genome Army project have turned out a bunch of Solidus act-alikes, since he was supposed to be the well-balanced version?
My favourite so far is 3 - great boss fights (especially The End) - lack of traditional MGS radar (enhancing the sneaking element) - great story that puts an interesting twist on the previously established story of Big Boss.
I'm glad (/I hope) that the MGS series is done with 4. But with Solid Snake's story done, if they want to make a new series in the same world, the thing I think they'll need to do is come up with a protagonist with an interesting story. That was ultimately what drew me to the MGS series in the first place. I think it could be done with Raiden, given the story we've already been given in 2 and 4. I agree that Ocelot is a very interesting character but I don't know how he'd fit into the role of protagonist. He was always more of a schemer whereas the heroes in MGS games tend to be the victims of schemes.
