Twisted Metal 2 was one of the most played games of my childhood, and TM:B was a great game. Everything else in the series is pretty awful. Hopefully, this turns out awesome.
RF:G was a good game. When I saw how shitty, condensed and boring RF:A looked, I knew the series was over.
Doesn't really matter, it's up to you. They don't spoil the main plot. You can however get some crazy overpowered armor and weapons though from the DLC, which you could then use in the main quest.
I think it honestly looks awesome. It feels good to be a non-jaded gamer.
Oh well. I've still even yet to play MGS4, even though I own and have beaten MGS 1/2/3
