I could have waited, however I waited 2 weeks and heard no response, so like most enterprising internet users I figure out a work around, that while not ideal, works.

Ok, so I figured out a solution (more like a work around, but o well). Go to your Steam Community page and select to change your settings. In the settings it has your custom URL http link designated for your account. You can change it, since Giant Bomb thinks the custom URL is already in the system, just change the Steam Community custom URL to something slightly different and save it. Then try adding it again on your Giant Bomb account. It worked for me.

 When I try to add my username I get this message: 

This account is already registered. Please report it in the bug forum if you suspect someone has claimed your name.    

I am having the same issues, it says that my steam name is taken. I tried setting my steam account a while back and it worked for a day and then it disappeared. Now when I try to re-add it, it says that someone else is already using it. Any help?

I am having similar issues. I had Steam setup with Achievements but now when I try to set it up again, it fails and says that its already in use. Any ideas?
