I cant recommend the PSV to anyone, ive been so close to buying one a dozen times and just taking a look at the games in the stores selling them has been enough to push me towards a different purpose. There are good games but like the PSP you might get a dozen essential games in its entire life span, the 3DS on the other hand has some fantastic titles so if you are thinking about one of them instead id say go for that.

If you have the option to buy both and get at least 2 games for each do that instead, but stay away from the 3G model, its pretty much worthless.

Im not really looking forward to either at this point, both Microsoft and Sony have had less innovation this generation than the previous one and i dont see this changing for the next machines. Better graphics, no doubt, 1080p 3d, yep, same old controllers? Yeah, and im sure they will laugh at Nintendo for their tablet controller and then copy it a few years later. Im buying whatever Microsoft release because at this point the amount of digital stuff i have on Xbox Live makes it kind of a no brainer to keep to the same service in the hope that i can keep most if not all of the content i have purchased. I only purchased a half dozen games on PS3 since it launched and 3 of them had Uncharted in the title, its obvious the PS3 is the most powerful of the machines but the number of poorly optimised games and broken ports, not to mention the lulzsec hacking incident, ive just gone off them completely.

A damn shame, i loved Darksiders II and Saints Row was one of my top played games, i hope things pick up for them as id hate to see them go out of business.

I hope they do combine the two stores so i can play my SNES games on my 3DS and my GBC games on my WiiU, love cross platform madness.

Are you saying that your average non-Chinese non-Japanese person is supposed to tell those two languages apart? You do realize that to the unfamiliar ear they sound basically the same right? :P

id say the average person can totally tell the difference between Chinese and Japanese, they sound completely different...hands up that i do play a lot of japanese games and watch a lot of anime but its like comparing German and French.

I bought it at the weekend since Steam had it on offer, what a fantastic game! I kinda knew it would be with it being discussed in length on the bombcast but i was blown away with just how unique it is, sure it has typical open world controls, but the setting really makes it stand out and it looks gorgous with the high res textures! I bought it on PC because it was cheaper but i was planning on getting it on that platform anyway, console games are not looking anywhere near as good recently.

I remember a total conversion using the Quake engine way back when, but i dont ever remember a Doom 3 version, could be totally wrong though....id like to be ^_^

Usually a week or two before christmas, just when you have made the resolve to spend no more money because its 6 weeks to your next pay day...

Ive got the full week off for Halloween so im hoping to be out at a party run by the guys who do Glasgow Comicon, failing that i do have Amnesia and Walking Dead episode 4 to play through.
