My Top 10 Disappointments of 2011.

This list will no doubt piss off at least one person but hey, what are you gonna do? This is not an attack on you, your family, or your friends so just calm down if you don't like what you see and it will all be okay in the end.

  • I don't even know what to say here. I've never been a big fan of Nintendo (stop reading this a post an angry comment) but I was hoping that something awesome would come out of this console. Onto what makes this a disappointment. The launch line-up was lackluster at best, the battery might as well not even be there and the almost immediate price drop was basically a giant mustached middle finger to everyone that bought it. That everyone re-bought an N64 game for it doesn't even factor into this decision.

  • I think you all know why this is here. Yes it was not all Sony's fault but that didn't quell my rage when I couldn't play MK online for over a month.

  • I was really hoping this game would be good. It had a premise that was at the very least interesting but it just didn't pan out. The controls are beyond repair in my opinion and the shooting is just so damn dull that I barely made it through an hour of this game.

  • I really liked the idea of a multiplayer game where the goals were something other than "just shoot dudes," but once again this was just another FPS that fell flat. This was the first quick look I never finished and that should say something.

  • The patches not the game. 1.2 destroyed my controller support for some reason and 1.3 has done something that causes the game to crash every fifteen minutes.

  • Really we're just getting Assassin's Creed II 3? Granted I have yet to finish Assassin's Creed II 2, but another protagonist would have been greatly appreciated. Its not that I don't want more Assassin's Creed because I do, but there is no way I'm going to want to play as Ezio again when I do finish Brotherhood... later this year.

  • Bulletstorm not selling. Now there's a good chance we'll never get a follow to this game that I thought was truly innovative and fun. Plus that ending is an even bigger bummer now.

  • The online play specifically. The character pack nonsense was a bummerin MK9 but the terrible online play in Arcade Kollection was even worse.

  • The PC version being delayed until May of 2012. I was positively crushed when I walked into Best Buy on the 13th to pick up a copy of this game for PC and the guy told it was delayed into next year.

  • The lack thereof has kept many good games out of my grasp this year including: The Witcha 2, Shadows of the Damned, Dead Island, Space Marine, Saints Row, and Dark Souls.
