This is curious, but hardly the best deal for gamers, and hardly a knock against XBox Live. There are other reasons Sony's pay service is outshining XBL right now, but this isn't one of them.
That's because it's featuring Playstation All-Stars.
People need to stop acting like a fucking cable news network every time something irrelevant happens. This isn't "shots fired," this isn't a "website crossover." It's a couple of offhanded comments.
I guess it's fun on a very basic level, but this is still a crushing disappointment. It's a shame because there are a few hints of holy shit honest to goodness FIRE PRO WRESTLING in there. The customization options seem to be leaning in that direction. Not as deep as a true Fire Pro game, but pretty impressive for what is clearly a throwaway avatar game.
The gameplay is just way too bouncy and janky (and obviously not like Fire Pro). I can't imagine we'll ever get a real console Fire Pro game, at least in the US, ever again. It would be a sad fucking shame if THIS is what the general public remembers this franchise as.
I really don't want to see bitching when this game ends on a cliffhanger. The amount of shit people gave Halo 2's ending was ridiculous. If it is going to bother you that much, don't buy this game. You know damn well they are going to have an unresolved ending (and possibly a sudden one) to try to hook people in for the next console.
Jeff, mainly for the MK fandom. Not strictly game-related, but I also kinda sorta watch wrestling, and I also appreciate Ice Cube's "Spy plane in the air" voiceover in Black Ops.
