The time he was on the Sega conference call announcing the end of the Dreamcast, but was home sick and listening to it on the toilet. Suddenly/unexpectedly (as he did not request to ask a question), they say "next question is from Jeff Gerstmann." Jeff just sits there silently as he can on the toilet until they give up and go to the next question.

These WWE responses are like the omega version of internet keyboard warriors. Flair is especially funny saying Ziggler and FIT FINLAY would beat Conor's ass. Dolph was an excellent wrestler at the level he was at. So are a lot of UFC fighters. The Fit thing is too comical to even respond to.

But please, Roman. Show us how easily you could beat a guy as "big as your leg."

Besides the obvious Lesnar mismatch, maybe Gable is at a level to at least give him some trouble. And that's about it. I'm probably forgetting one or two guys, but I hate seeing this argument. Someone mentioned the 80's mentality, and that's pretty much spot on. Wrestlers can do stuff that UFC fighters can't do, and vice-versa. They should both be happy that they are skilled in their fields. But their fields are not interchangeable, nor are they particularly similar.

Conor is an attention-whore and a prick, but one that would embarass the vast, vast majority of the WWE roster. Whatcha gonna do?

Seeing people acting like this is actually a debate is like when people used to seriously wonder if Lesnar could take Meng in a real fight. You know, because Meng is super tough and ripped a guy's eye out or whatever. Because that would somehow be a factor after Lesnar immediately grounded him and broke his fucking neck.

I think everything I listen to has already been mentioned at least once, but I'll say the best pro wrestling shows are Joe vs The World and the Justin Shapirshow. They have the same guys on it, one guy's the host on one, and one's the host on the other. Only real difference is JvTW usually focuses on older stuff, while JS is usually more current event-based. The only consistently legitimately funny wrestling podcast I've heard. Only downside is they rarely release episodes, maybe 4 or 5 a year each. If that.

@planetary: Dan had a medical procedure done to remove a benign hting from his head and instead of growing his hair back, he just shaves it off because having no hair, "Is just less of a hassle". He also had a bald spot so I'm guessing Dan was just biting the bullet and shaving it all off rather than keeping his hair until it becomes the old man curtains.

The "you can't fire me, I quit" approach with hair was something I strongly support. Has worked well for me over the last few years.

I think a lot of it had to do with Royal Rumble, Fastlane, and Wrestlemania 3 in 2015.

The one where the Hulkster slammed that 14 foot tall, 900 pound corpse, brother.

@gaff: I would argue (without any statistics on hand) that Dragon Quest may have actually been a bigger thing in the west on the NES with Dragon Warrior than with VIII. For a lot of people that was their first JRPG.

Agreed, Dragon Warrior was a big deal back then. Although Ultima was on the NES prior to DW being out, it was a baffling mess of a game by comparison. Dragon Warrior was the first RPG of that type that really resonated with people on a console.

No, unless it's from people that have been at the site previously (Austin, Patrick, etc). The appeal of a GB review is we are able to understand the reviewer's voice better than if we went to some random review found on metacritic, because we hear them talk about games every week. If that's lost, I have zero interest in reading the review.

When you have a photo taken with wish-he-was-friend-of-the-site Riff Raff, you need to represent accordingly.

Wait a minute, is Riff Raff off the steroids? Because last time I checked in on RR he looked like a brick house.

He's still pretty big (I'm like 6'6 / 250) but yeah, he doesn't look quite as puffed up as he was a while back. Seems like he's actually got kind of a 'roid gut going though (like Sheiky in the 80's, just not nearly as extreme).
