I was picked from the possible people to intern as a producer for a video game company.
I was selected so I'm really happy. My boss is Donna Burke, she did the voices for Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3, she also sung the theme song to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
This isn't some shitty intern job, it's a full fledged producers role. It's a lot of work. I won't be posting as much on Giant Bomb due to my work, nor will I be on the IRC as much. I had to sign a contract saying I won't say anything about what I'll be doing and she told me this industry is very competitive. I will honor that.
This is the lucky break I needed. I'm really happy.
As a bonus, she did both voices in Silent Hill for fun! I was impressed as hell. She still has it nailed.
Sorry no girls. Our female friends bailed at the last moment once they found out it was an all you can eat beef bar. They said they didn't want to get fat. I was sad. Tomorrow I go hiking with my female friends so expect nature pictures...but it might not happen if it rains.
Today I ate Beef in boiling water. It's called "Shabushabu" and it's very good. The last picture on the first row is what the food looks like when all the fat is there...you aren't supposed to eat that if you want to stay healthy.
I also played KoF12 and I'd prefer BlazBlue because I'm good at it. KoF12 is hard and to slow for me...I got ripped apart a new one with the guy I was playing. The BlazBlue screen is Jin's last words in story mode. The next couple pictures are of the "Arcade" district in Ikebukero...meaning that there are arcades right next to each other at all times. Also a Denny's...it's shit in Japan. Finally, there's this pink cart I saw and she had good food...it's very sweet.
So I finally did it! I went to Grasshopper to turn in my resume! They have 2 floors.
They said they would contact me about if I can get hired or not...they also said I was the first to come to the building to submit my resume. I told them Grasshopper is my favorite company and it's my dream company. I think they were shocked because I was telling the truth and most people's usual answer is Square Enix, Kojima Productions, etc...

Today I saw Kojima talking about his dreams, video game history, and a few other random stuff at Ginza. I couldn't ask questions because these otaku idiots kept asking about his "next" games. I was so pissed. This was a time to ask serious questions and what were asked were shit.
My question was how he feels about Japanese gaming companies losing money in the current market. Is there anyway the Japanese companies can get back to a competitive advantage as the NA and EU companies keep growing in talent and power.
Tomorrow I go to Grasshopper and meet Suda 51. I'm really nervous. Anyone got any advice for me? I'm really scared...so scared I sent my MBA professor an email talking about it. Tomorrow is an important day for me...and I would like support from Giant Bomb. I don't care if it's the most random shit in the world...make me smile. :)
