Even Jeff and other gaming journalists have been saying to stop pre-ordering shit unless you know 100% what it's going to be. Waiting a couple days wouldn't kill you. Sadly, you bought a license and not a game, and they don't have to refund you.

Yeah it was. Worst was Valve couldn't give review copies at the time with how different primitive Steam was then, and most reviews were pretty late to reviewing it.

HL2 was the worst shit to happen to PC gaming at the time, and everyone said digital services wouldn't work. Oh the irony. Valve makes worst launch on PC gaming to fuel the fire of how shitty online only games are...but then they fix their shit.

EA is on the same boat. Give them a chance. Blizzard fixed D3, Valve fixed Steam issues.

The Simcity 4 picture shouldn't count. That's the smallest region size, and even then SimCity 4 is a shit ton bigger.

Blame gamers for not giving a shit. They're the ones buying DLC in droves, preordering everything because it has a map or skin, or just accepting shit for pure bias or fanboyism.

No other industry is this fucked up. If Apple or Google did a percentage of the shit game publishers did, Apple and Google wouldn't hear the end of it from the news outlets or consumers.

@jakob187: Why? The majority of gamers still preorder games before reviews. Game devs need review scores to feed their families, you want Randy Pichford to not be able to put food in his kids mouth?
