Yeah it is based on the french minuatures game called Confrontation which is basically a small scale warhammer fantasy. Normally played with fewer units and it uses alot of "personality" characters. I have only played the table top game a few times but it is fun, too bad the miniatures are prohibitively expensive. So while I cant speak to the game itself I know there is plenty of lore/backstory for it to pull on and the art design on the miniatures honestly is a cut above other companies so if they can bring that to the game I imagine it will be fairly good looking.

Uh no. The main game is supposed to take the average human being 15-20 hours to beat if they just play to beat and don't bother being completionist. The actual dungeon itself is 13 floors deep.

Bear in mind I have been a reader and poster on the Grimrok official forums since the day they were created and my comment is based on what the dev's themselves have said and what two separate guys who were part of the final beta told me.

@Brodehouse: You misunderstand. Like 4-5 of those 9 guys still like WoW mostly because of the reasons I said couple with other things. Like one dude has a crap pc that can't run most new mmo's, another dude absolutely hates Star Wars and any game without pvp, etc etc. But the truth is without the other 9 dudes none of us individually would still be playing. Also I do play other games, even mmo's, and will probably be trying out both Secret World (yeah I know funcom) and Guild Wars 2. I probably just wont play them for more than a month or two. Currently I still have a SWtOR sub since the day it released and frankly play it far more than WoW. I don't do end game stuff but playing out each class story is a fun way to kill a couple hours sometimes.

PS: Bowling is a social sport, it sucks alone. Much like a grindy mmo like WoW that has no real story you can take seriously.

@duggshammer: Fair enough, so I will rephrase. There is no such thing as the "best" mmo. I dare say most of them are the exact same game. Example: Korean MMO's. Almost all of them play the same, control the same, have the same classes, alot of them even have similar design and character look, you get the idea. What makes the difference between a mmo you play for a month or two just to have fun and experiment and a mmo you play for 1+ years is the people you play with. Not the game itself. Trust me.

Uh people don't understand why others play MMO's in reality. WoW is shit. Why do I play it? Because there are these 9 other dudes who need me to show up to help them do stuff. Nobody is playing WoW for 6 years running because the game is good, cause it isn't. They do it because their friends play and they want to have fun hanging out with them and or have a sentimental attachment to the character they play.

You can take the most devout WoW nerd on the planet and if you convince his 20 some odd buddies to quit WoW and play something else instead I promise you he will follow them.

Seriously though, he looks a little emo but other than the retarded angel thing on his back the design is okay. He is supposed to be younger so it makes sense he looks like a emo teenage punk loser. The actual action/overall feel of the trailer is pretty on par with the previous devil may cry's too. So far I am seriously considering picking it up. I just pray they go for more of what made 3 good and less of 4.

I admit to laughing out loud for real a few days ago during the coverage of the masters. They were talking about the leaders and going over everyone within the current top 5 at the time.... then suddenly devoted like 5-8 minutes to talking about tiger woods who was something like 8 strokes back. Wake up, he is out of the Masters and his career is basically over was the only thing I could think. If he had an iota of good sense he would retire now before his game completely falls off the deep end.

I have a friend who used them for months and never smoked a real cigarette. The problem is it is all in in your head. You aren't smoking a real cigarette but to hear him tell it you still feel like you are smoking. In the end he went back to real cigarettes because they were easier to get. In other words.... they really didn't seem to help him quit they just helped him smoke in a less unhealthy way.

From those on your list (and it is a good list) I would go something like this... with one little nit pick...

1: FFVI

2: Lufia 2

3: Chrono Trigger

4: Secret of Mana

5: Breath of Fire 2 (sorry you shoulda listed it!)

Uh lets hope they put the new bosses in a patch on the console versions because I am not paying for it again on pc. I still stand by what I said, without a gamepad it will play like crap, so it is good it will have support.

Based on what neogaf is saying one of the new bosses is Guyra, so at least they did that right.
