Red Dead Redemption = GotY. Nuff said.
Again no need to say much, it continues the story of ME, builds the plot, and upped the quality of the gameplay itself. It is also the best RPG of 2010 and it IS an RPG.
The best survival horror game I have ever played and probably the most fun I have had playing a game single player all year. Well worth the purchase price and more than deserving of any hype it gets.
Fable 3 did not reinvent the wheel built in Fable 2 but it did refine it and massively improve it. Kudo's to lionhead for also fixing the broken multiplayer which was the biggest failing of it's predecessor.
"Insert Get out here Stalker!!! joke/reference here"
This game like it's forebears is an acquired taste just like the dirty and or muddy vodka that you may find in a refuse bin in the game. It is a taste I definitely have too.
Not for the trash can vodka though; I just use anti rad.
Chocolate rain..... it makes you stab yourself in the brain... Chocolate rain...
Okay enough of that ;p
Yes it deserves to be on the list.
If it had released when it was originally meant to on the xbox not the 360 no one would have moaned about the graphics, and the gameplay would not have been nearly as panned. The story was great, the characters memorable, and while it was not the greatest game play mechanics wise it was bug free and had a very deep engrossing atmosphere.
Five years from now I will remember Francis York Morgan, I can't say the same about a lot of other characters I helmed this year.
Metal Gear?!?!?! So I admit to being a huge MG junky, despite that this was still a very solid game and one of the best things on the PSP. Multiplayer was also a blast.
Cahtackahlism. It pains me to put this on the list but it is legitimately more fun to play than the previous expansion and revitalizes much of the older game world. If you have quit WoW for awhile give it a try you might find they have improved on the things that made you quit.
Well except for barrens chat, not much anyone can do to save that.
Say what you want, I like old school first person dungeon hack games. This is simply put the best first person dungeon hack game of 2010 so it makes the list.
Honorable mention. Yes I played it tons, yes it was fun. No it did not improve on Fallout 3 in any significant way and in my opinion the bugs were worse this time. I couldn't even clear the intro movie without massive screen tearing and video lag no matter what I did.
Apparently Bethesda and Obsidian didn't think I needed to be able to have all my endgame choices available either since the House path bugged out on me and was totally impossible to progress no matter what I tried. As a result I don't think this game needed to make the top 10.
