Purchased the downloadable version of inFamous today and it will not install. It freezes at 14% and errors. I've tried it a dozen times or so. Rebuilt the database through the recovery menu, everything I can think of. Is there any trick out there to get this to work aside from repeating that torturous 7GB download?
" Dude, if anyone was more eligible for making a Medal Of Honor reboot, it would be the staff members of Respawn Entertainment. Missed opportunity. "
So EA was going to task a brand new company with hardly any staff to make a competent multiplayer game in 4 months? DICE has probably been working on the project for a year at the least. Respawn had no chance the company formed in what like March? MoH ships in October even Activision sweatshop style developing couldn't spit that game out even if its just the MP.
" I know how you feel bro. It sucks, Steam along with Sony, do not allow name changes. Fuck...Microsoft actually got something right. Even though its a scam. So yeah, sorry man. "
Sony loses favor for not allowing name changes but at least you can make all the free accounts you want.
Random question but can you change your account name for Steam? Not your profile but your actual account name. I knew before hand you could change your profile name when ever and when I created my account I thought that was it and now seeing my dumb account name up in the corner just ticks me off. I'm super OCD about crap like that and hate it when online services and websites don't permit you to change info even personal info only you see. I have even clashed with Giant Bomb over the issue as well haha.
No advantages is good. Higher level players having access to better abilities and equipment is a major factor in why games like Modern Warfare are terrible. Your armor and your rank in Reach is a visual representation of how good you are or how much you play. If you see a player with awesome high level armor then you know he earned it one way or another.
I havn't played Halo 3 real seriously since 2007, and for maybe a week or two after every map pack that's about it. CoD4 tore me away from Halo 3 which was just too similar to the Halo 2 I had been playing for years. Now two and a half years later after playing nothing but military shooters with a scatter shot of problems from MW2's overall crapiness that will likely never be patched to Bad Company 2's glaring issues that were suddenly deemed less important to patch on consoles than a damn Dr. Pepper promo. Halo 3 may have been archaic but it was steady as a rock. Reach seems to blend that steadiness of design choice with a few modernizations here and there. Also the everyone is always on a even playing field and skill is all that matters approach is much better "lawlz I killed u with meh choppa gunnner".
Thanks a lot Giant Bomb crew! The Beta is pretty awesome, its a little bare bones till they start rolling out more maps and modes but otherwise good stuff.
Was wondering even if it was pay will the SPECACT DLC ever be available though the XBL Marketplace? DICE finally patched the Dr. Pepper codes to work but Dr. Pepper has moved on to promoting Iron Man 2 and no longer even have the codes in bottles. I needed one more achievement for an S-Rank (damn you Demolition Man!) now they add four new achievements tied to a silly promotion that now seems impossible to get without scrounging the net for some of the more shadier sites to get codes.
