Phil gently tossing the Gears team under the bus about that Funco game is the highlight of this interview. "Look man, those guys are way into the idea, I dunno..."

So... Austin and Patrick aren't going to comment on their matching outfits, huh?

I only follow Waypoint's Stellaris and Xcom streams, is their matching attire some kind of inside joke I'm not getting? Or have they just gone fully hive mind at this point?

@ilserpente: I think it had a clutch, yeah. I could be wrong though,, I was always too scared to drive manual transmissions in games like that.

I'm pretty sure the arcade game that Jeff Backalar was thinking of with the "vectory" (by which I assume he just meant crudely polygonal) graphics and the big loop is either Hard Drivin', or its nearly-identical sequel-slash-remake Race Drivin':

Didn't a fan do the ending edit? What was their name as I think they should get credit. It was a great little vignette.

That fan's name was Derek Stone. It was his own video.

Since Abby asked, here's my pitch for a new series where Dan plays a game he'd probably hate: Kerbal Space Program:

Dan, the Kerbal newbie, attempts to land a Kerbal on the moon safely, with Abby assisting. No need to get the Kerbal back, just get a living Kerbal on the moon.

Vinny, the Kerbal veteran, has to get a Kerbal to Mars AND back again, with Alex assisting.

It's a race. Whichever team accomplishes their goal in the shortest overall cumulative time over the course of the series (or in the fewest number of episodes) wins.

Dan will hate playing it, but Dan also hates to lose, and that will carry him through. He'd be so terrible at Kerbal, it would be hilarious.
