Best of 2010

Kezmer: Best of 2010
Yes this is probably the most ridiculous one on the site, no Call of Duty or RDR or Halo. Well I don't like those games so I don't play them and I am not the person who should be rating them. However I do Like matching 3 and great story telling so here is my top 10 list !

1. Mass Effect 2

I don't think I need to say why this is my #1, the game speaks for itself. From the great action and story to the fact I just couldn't put it down until I beat it, this might be one of the best games I have ever played

2. Alan Wake

Many people missed out on this game since it came out when RDR did, RDR is not my type of game as no Rockstar game really is anymore. Alan Wake again like Mass Effect 2 has such an amazingly fun and twisted tale, it is like a great 2 part X-Files episode I just wanted to watch over and over. One more important note, not since Barry Burton in the original Resident Evil have we seen such a great buddy named Barry in a videogame

3. Rock Band 3

Leave it to Harmonix to once again up the bar on the music game genre. The game has a great set list and the Keyboard is a great new peripheral. The only thing this lacks is the no talent ass-clown (me) trying to play it and failing miserably

4. BioShock 2

WE DON'T NEED ANOTHER BIOSHOCK... I've heard it, I've read it, and people you are insane. This is an amazing game, I know many people passed on it since it was once again set in Rapture and people have apparently had enough of that place. Honestly no it is not as good as the first one, but when the first on is a 10 out of 10. you will rarely hit gold again like that. If you haven't played this game and even remotely like Bioshock, you need to pick this up and check it out.

5. Fallout: New Vegas

What can I really say about Fallout: New Vegas? Yes it is a damn buggy mess of parts, yes you will get frustrated when it crashes and you realize you haven't saved in a while, and yes you will be able to make a trip to the store for a 12 pack by the time the game loads a new area. The Journey is worth all the hell this game makes you endure. This is second to Mass Effect 2 to the number of hours I logged in a game this year and I haven't even beaten it yet.

6. Darksiders

Hello Zelda, I've missed you. While I never could get into ANY of the 64 bit 3D Zelda titles, this was easy to get into. I guess as I get older the kiddie nature of the Zelda franchise has turned me off. This however takes most of everything from Zelda and makes a much better game and sets it in a realm where I can feel like and adult. Pick this up on the cheap and try it out, you will enjoy the ride

7. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX

What a blast this game is to play. I never thought I would be sitting at home playing Pac-Man in 2010, but here I am enjoying the hell out of this. nothing is more fun than chaining up about 40 ghosts and just going to town on all of them in a row !!

8. Puzzle Quest 2

Yes I am biased, I love Puzzle Quest. as you will see I like matching 3. this game takes the first puzzle quest and takes out a lot of the frustrating computer cheating elements and makes the game fun again.

9. Bejeweled 3

Yes matching 3 is fun. but this game revamped the old Bejeweled formula and took the Blitz game from facebook and upped the ante. the additions of the quest mode and new styles like Poker and diamond mine just kept me hooked time and time again.

10. Blur

I know many people also missed out on this game, but what they really missed out on was a great time. take Mario Kart and put in real cars and this game is a blast. I had a good month where I couldn't put this sucker down. I have since cooled off with it but I know if I check it back out I would still enjoy it

I do not see many diplo quests I have not done. I logged in and checked my character and he is still there. I did not have a guild and only being adventuring level 20 didnt help anyone much on raids. I admit I like to do my own thing. I guess my other reason I got tired of it was it seemed all I was useful for was getting information for guild hall quests, and they never made a flying mount for diplos. I havent played in over a year maybe even longer, I kept hoping they would throw me a free 7 day return like WoW and EQ did and at least I would check out things

I played this game from the first Beta (Alpha  I think it was called) and I cannot tell you how much fun I had with it. The Launch didn't bother me to much because we all knew they rushed it out the door. The game is every bit as good as if not better than any other MMO out there it just lacks the sustained population.

I played for about a year in fact being one of the first in game to receive the "Exemplar of all Telon" title for diplomacy, and that was where I gave up. I had done just about every diplomacy quest and been active on the wiki forums but they pretty much decided that diplomacy was on the back burner for good. Having played Everquest since 2000 I was bored of the same old hunting and questing and diplomacy was so much different and being able to actually build up buffs for people in cities was such an accomplishment.

If they ever get the game moving again and add some more diplomacy things I might try it again. I just got sick of grinding bartenders for loot over and over in Khal and the lack of finding groups on a daily basis I gave up. honestly I only got adventuring level 20 before I was blah and went all diplomacy.
