Christine Love is a polarising figure in video games. As a writer and a game developer, she has become known for using her games to make political and social stances which veer towards sex positivity, gender equality, and warnings about possible futures or even repeating the past. When I was 14, I dumped my first girlfriend over my school's internal e-mail service. The entire drama was played out over two rickety computers somewhere in that colossal building while no one was any the wiser. I have no doubt those messages are still stored somewhere in my school's server. I always wondered if the teachers followed what was going on secretly. Bejeweled 3 may seem entirely pointless to you. When I first saw the title advertised on Steam, I could hear my own misgivings ringing in my head. After all these sequels, Puzzle Quest, browser-based rip-off's and the fact you could probably install Bejeweled on your pet dog at this point, I didn't see much to be excited about.
