I totally know where you're coming from. I think the indie space is going to take over some of that slack from the AAA studios when it comes to innovation, especially now that all these super powerful and inexpensive engines are so easily available. Maybe pave the way for the big publishers to start branching out again?
@believer258: Sure, maybe in the past. But when did FFX come out... 15 years ago? Us kids who used to play these games are adults now. I don't have an opinion about how adult-friendly the series has or has not become, but Square should probably try and keep us around.
@humanity: I don't know anything about this suspend mode, but if all it needs is enough energy to retain what is in your RAM then it would probably have similar power consumption as a PC in sleep mode.
How does a technical interview work over the phone, anyway? I've heard of much smaller companies conducting interviews over Google Doc-like programming environments, which seems much more suitable to judge a person's problem solving processes!
