@madmatt213:The PS4 share button is weird.

You are most likely aware, but default behavior is to "press and hold" to take a screenshot. Because that makes sense. I think a few years into the life of the PS4 they listened to reason and added an option to change the behavior in the "Sharing and Broadcasts" menu. Under "SHARE Button Control Type" the "Easy Screenshots" option does exactly what it says.

With "Easy Screenshots", tapping the button will immediately take a screenshot. The small notification will show up delayed by a few seconds, but be assured the picture will show exactly what was on screen at the time of the button press.

The indicator delay is actually great because for some reason PS4 screenshots are hard-coded to contain the overlay, including the screenshot indicator. This makes taking multiple clean screenshots in quick succession a pain on PS4. Why is it that way? No one knows. Thanks Sony.

@mrsmiley: Playing like that becomes a real problem in Mass Effect 2, where they measure your Paragon/Renegade score as a percentage of the total number of P/R points you could have scored in areas you have explored. Using neutral options, or switching between P/R leaves you with not enough points in either to pass some of the more difficult morality checks later on.

And unfortunately Mass Effect has a similar problem of having some pretty tough and meaningful skill checks peppered throughout the game. I'm already sweating bullets thinking about Virmire and I'm afraid it'll influence the whole Mass Alex trilogy in a very, very sad way.

Not concerned about his Noveria and Feros choices. Or that he might tackle the Citadel missions immediately while he's underleveled and understaffed. But if Vinny doesn't explain this crucial peculiarity of the ME skill system soon, it could quickly be too late for Alex to "correctly" spec Shep Shep for the Virmire mission.

Because I would characterize that one fateful decision as crucial to the optimal enjoyment of the trilogy.
