maybe "hate" is a little strong. but i recently saw a derisive Penny Arcade post and the guys on the Bombcast were talking light smack. I'm not trying to be a major defender or anything. I'm just intrigued, considering how heralded the game seemed to be at launch.
Any Achievement Whores out there find their Gamerscore addiction reflected in how they play Fantasy? I'm in a Baseball league with Daily Moves and I sometimes feel like I'm playing something as complicated as Civ: reading my opponents for possible trades, considering all sorts of match up stats, and visiting the site multiple times an hour during game time.
I'm not sure what's up with a lot of the TF2 hate out there. I didn't realize it had become such a polarizing game. If people aren't super into it, people seem to be really turned off. Yeah, it's got a quicker pace than something like Halo. Yeah, it's been out long enough for vets to have a real leg up. But the crafting, the ability to help out without directly killing people, and the game modes set it apart from the competition.
