Kingdoms Hearts

I was 9-10 years old when I first played it and didn't even know it was an RPG. I though it was an action game. Hell, I didn't even notice the game used stats until my older brother pointed it out to me.

Greg Kasavin was always among my favorite GameSpot editors/reviewers so I am obligated to be at the very least, be interested in this new game.  Anyone who takes game narratives seriously deserve respect.

Final Fantasy VII?  That's the only PS1 FF I've played and only for 15 hours.  I got up to just after Nibelhelm.  I have a hard time getting myself to play it again because later FF games spoiled me somewhat.  FFX was my first FF.  I technically played Tactics first but X was the first one I played seriously.

Apparently, Empire isn't that great but it is probably because Card only wrote down what he was allowed to.  Card and writers in general are at there best when they have creative control over what they write instead of having limitations.

if they are still doing the endurance run, they obviously like it.  Maybe even love it.

I'm playing as good.  After I beat the game, I am going to probably play it on evil.

"I think you might be missing the point.  What you're neglecting to realize about the games you have mentioned is that, while they do look very good, they aren't short because devlelopers spend time on graphics instead of making more game, it's because shorter games make for an overall better experience. "Quality over Quantity" doesn't mean "graphics over gameplay", it means "8 exciting hours over 20 boring hours".  These games are better because they don't do what many other games do, needlessly drag out the single player campaign, creating a repetitive experience that most gamers would rather quit half way through than play to completion.
"
I agree with you.  I'd rather have  8 hours of exciting gameplay than 20 hours of boring gameplay.
