Ok, For 2009, PS3 will be the console of the year!

2008 was going out to the 360 no doubt, very good exlusive titles was out on the 360 during 2008! Yeah so the PS3 had Uncharted and MGS4 but it was like those two that really stood out if you ask me.

but now in 2009 hey baberiba!

First out is Killzone 2! Hey, FPS has never been better I guess! Closly followed by a double deal RE5 (it will play so good on the ps3 though so I will get it for that system) then we just marches on in the year of the ps3: Uncharted 2, God Of War III, Heavy Rain, MAG which I don't know so much about but from what Ive read if it comes even close to what the developers are talking about this gonna be awsome! andlast but not least on my "looking forward list" for me EyePet which seems so silly yet awsome!

so well.. this are just some of the more big names for 2009 only for the PS3 so 2008 the year of the 360 2009 the year of the ps3!

Uncharted came out it 2007. And if you ask me, In 2008, the PS3 had the best line up, but just failed to execute on the sales. And MAG will not come out in 2009, we don't even know if MAG is it's real name...

I think the PS3 had the best lineup in 2008. And I think it will have the best lineup in 2009. I'm sure Microsoft have a surprise or two up their sleeve though so don't count that out.

It will still sell the least consoles.

Those are my thoughts.

Eh... you have a decent point.  About this year's line up.  But a bunch of people said the same thing about 08 and I bet I still spend a ton more time playing my PC and 360, then I do playing my PS3.  Just like in 08.

I used to be a PS fanboy.  But after to many disappointments, I have very little faith.  Exclusives aren't all the PS3 needs.  Home needs to be rethought out or just redone completely, PSN is just lame.  Private servers are fail.  Translation from JP to EN is still horrible and blue-ray, all thoe very nice.  Isn't needed now at all and I don't see it ever being needed.  Maybe in 5 years.  If DVDs are even still being used.  I still don't notice a major difference between 360 and the PS3 multi-platform titles.

I hope Killzone 2 is great,  But I don't know if it will be pulling me off of CoD4.  Which I play on 360 since thats where all my friends are.  Heavy Rain game looks horrible, like another PC to console port.  That just wont work with out a keyboard and mouse. 

I want PS to be good again.  But it's ok, they had a good run and I still love em.  I'm sure every so often a great exclusive will rise up.  But this is 360's gen.  It's just more fun for me.

This year there will be a bunch of really awsome games comming out only on the ps3... its a fact..
2008 was the year of the 360 with gears of war 2, halo 3 bla bla bla it was.. ps3 didn't match that.. nintendo wii? yeah well.. who cares? it sells anyhow.. and yeah I got one and enjoys mario galaxy to this very day!

Perhaps your right but I am unphased by its "position". As long as Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo all pump out a handful good titles each I'll but happy.

All i know is I'm on my 9th 360 and 1st PS3...

I was fooled into thinking last year was the year of the PS3... not this time.  And as long as the Final Fantasy series is multiplat, Sony will never have another "year" this generation.

2) you do know heavy rain is a ps3 only game...and that its pretty much a big quick time event so how would it be so good on pc?

I think LittleBigPlanet was better then any 360 exclusive released in 08.
And I should know, I was playing 360 all 08 with no PS3.

While I don't forsee the 360 losing any steam this year, I can see the PS3 making a comeback. But, a few things need to happen first:

It's dumb to say that 2009 will be the year of the PS3 after last year not meeting expectations but I will say that it definitely has the best announced lineup of this year. Here's to hoping Uncharted 2 and InFamous make it out in time.

Let's not forget that it won't just be releases in '09 that give the PS3 steam. It's almost certain we'll see the first of the new Ico game at E3 this year. Which is a pretty big deal indeed.

Last year was supposed to be the year of the PS3 too. C'mon. Don't make a fool of yourself. You have no idea how this year will turn out.

I thought that Sony had the best lineup last year. This year looks pretty outstanding as well.
