Sure, I always check reviews is they are available. When I went out last Monday night to pick up Alan and Red Dead, I read up on Split/Second and got that based on the reviews I had seen. Ubisoft can kiss my rear end, with their "no reviews until its in stores" policy, like with the new PoP. If I had read good things about that, I might have gotten that instead, but Ubi wanted to be assholes, so they lost my sale that night. Now that the reviews are out, and its pretty decent, I might get it evenutally, but my $$$ went to games that I had info on.
Yeah, both are fun games, I'd recommend Final Fight if you like those sort of games. I love those old school beat-em ups. Try the demos for both, Afterburner is cool too.
Shattered Memories is like an interactive storybook. 1/2 the time, its looking around and "solving" extremely easy puzzles, the other half is running from lame looking enemies that make constant screeching noises. Hardly any gameplay at all, just drift from one scene to the next. Also, the least scary game in the series, you know when monsters can attack and when they won''t, so no tension at all. The Old Gods have left, apparently. I won't buy another SH game if it continues this same trend. Traded it in today towards Darksiders, a much, much better game. (You actually do something!)
