Funny moment today. I woke up and decided to try to turn on the system via voice command. It worked just as advertised, which made me very happy. It hadn't auto-logged me in because I was still in bed, where it often can't see me unless I sit up rather high. So I spent the next 30 minutes watching TV, then when I go up and walk past the Kinect I get the hello message that I had been recognized and logged in. One of those cool new gadget moments that I was very enthused about and responded with, "Well, hello, Xbox." xD

The only weird problems I've had, besides some of the stuff Jeff mentioned in his video, is Kinect trying to listen during YouTube videos. It's a different "Stop Listening" prompt that comes up, but it's very annoying since it appears in the center of the screen:

I have no problems with being all digital due to my Steam experience; however, the two games I currently own on X1 are both discs. Both of them were cheaper at retail than to buy digitally, which I hope is something that won't continue to be the case (I don't have much faith in MS in this regard). I want to go all digital so that I have my library accessible from any X1 and to use the snap feature, but the pricing for digital needs to catch up--even if it's $5, digital needs to be cheaper than retail on day 1.

I'm getting Forza 5, and will probably end up getting Ghosts (since I'm like Jeff and regard BF4 as a PC game first). I would like to get something else for more variety, but not sure that there really is anything besides Dead Rising 3 and Ryse (which I'm not interested in).

Since I've been in a work bubble this past month, has there been any announcement about US Day One preorders getting Fifa 14 free as well? (Don't think so, but I can hope...)

Looks like Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto is supposed to have one. I was expecting at least something in SF too, but might check out the one in Palo Alto. So, pretty much a given. ;)

You can repeat that over and over. There's a reason I actually felt like I lost a best friend on Monday's reveal.
