I'm doing a Psychology degree at the moment and my dissertation is going to be on using video games as a form of stress relief. I haven't really noticed any research out there for or against the efficacy of video games in dealing with depression, but this sounds quite interesting.

I know I've used video games to relieve anger and stress in the past. I can't really remember whether I used video games to help me when I went through a minor depressive phase (not really depression, but it was very minor symptoms) . I'd be quite interested to see whether people do use video games to deal with depression and if people use it to help deal with it or just ignore the effects of depression.

You can liberate all of the areas, but some of them take a lot of searching thanks to bugs. People have said this already, sure, but just wanted to confirm it for y'all so you aren't thinking it's just for one or two people.

It's especially annoying when you are looking for a guy on a random farm. Sometimes you need to leave the area and come back to make them appear again.

@Darklight: Ok, I just remember that in one mission I was supposed to kill this guy who was running away on a horse, and I was frustrated when I couldn't just shoot him.

maybe I didn't try using the bow and just assumed it wouldn't work either :P

Sometimes the game likes to lock you out of being able to shoot guys, even when on foot. It's not dramatic enough. THEY NEED THE DRAMA, DAMMIT!

Seriously, you have all these tools to take guys out from a distance, but the game won't let you for some reason.

But yeah, horses are utterly useless in this game. The only time they ever need to be used is for when the game makes you, but even then they control like arse.

AC3 and Halo 4 seem to be the biggest things talked about in these comments. Makes me think I might be the only one interested in that Spec Ops: The Line book...

@N7: Running around in circles? Yeah, that happened to me a few times on my second attempt. The first time I did it I shot him. But Ubisoft seemed to take offence at me trying to do a reasonable thing and kill the bastard. Because, you know, I shouldn't try to kill the person who is attempting an assassination. Oh nooooo... Yeah, that mission pissed me off.
