  • Tour of duty number five.: It would be hard to immediately identify something as a World War II game with the absence of Nazis. In fact, the absence of Nazis is what potentially could have led Treyarch's latest iteration of the Call of Duty franchise from feeling like just another World War II game. Call of Duty: World at War consists of two main components: an American campaign that retells the invasion of Okinawa. What's ...

  • A leap of faith worth taking.: Mirror's Edge is an incredibly unique experience that is extremely important in the age of an extremely over-saturate game market. We're constantly being flooded by the same types of games and an endless stream of sequels that rarely do anything new. That's not to say any of these games are bad, but they drown out innovation by constantly playing it safe - as well as wearing out their welcome. Games ...

  • A great game that ultimately feels like a missed opportunity.: PlayStation 3 or not, we've all been following Killzone 2 with eager eyes for a long, long time. Would Killzone 2 finally be that killer first person shooter that Sony so desired? Would it be that game that finally drew the Xbox shooter crowd over to the PlayStation? The answer is more complex than a simple yes or no, but let it be known that Killzone 2 is a great ...

  • The Triple Bonus Pack is only worth getting if you want the memory lamp.  The Killer Machine ring isn't really essential but I suppose it helps in some places.  The additional dream is neat too, but it's only worth it if you really liked the dreams.  Basically, if you want to be able to watch any cut scene from the game at any given time then it's worth the $2.50, ...

  • http://www.giantbomb.com/lost-odyssey/61-2719/dlc/?_loginat=1250818822830 I'm not sure if I posted this in the right place or not, but as you can see the "Seeker of the Deep" and "Triple Bonus Pack" are both listed twice.  I didn't see any way to delete DLC either so I figured this was the best place to post about it.

  • meh... I tried playing Guild Wars and I found it pretty boring tbh.  Anyone who thinks this is going to give WoW a run for its money is sorely mistaken.  Don't get me wrong... I'm not obsessed with WoW or anything but trying to play Guild Wars after WoW is like playing that CD-I Zelda game instead of a Link to the Past.

  • Infuriatingly difficult, but incredibly intense and addictive.: I'm not going to lie to you; Rainbow Six Vegas is an infuriatingly difficult game. Difficult to the point that if you're a controller thrower, expect to have launched your Xbox 360 controller across the room at least a dozen times before the game is over. No matter, there WILL be moments of Rainbow Six Vegas-induced rage if you play this game. This is an indisputable fact, whether you are ...

  • Well, I stayed up until 2 am on the night of release to buy this game.  As you can probably tell I'm a HUGE fan of Turtles in Time.  On its own this remake is a competent game.  It's fun to play through a few times with some buddies.  As a remake to Turtles in Time it kinda fails for several reasons.  It's based on the arcade version which is ...

I've been interested in the Castlevania series for a long time now, but due to the series' ridiculous backcatalogue of games, I haven't really known where the best place to start is.

I recently found Castlevania: The Dracula X Chronicles for ridiculously cheap so I decided I might as well start there.  I know this game has the original Rondo of Blood and (an apparently updated w/ new voice acting?) Symphony of the Night.

What I want to know is, should I start with the PSP update of Rondo of Blood, or should I start with Symphony of the Night?  I know the latter is arguably the most popular game in the series so I thought it may be a good place to start.

The only other problem I have is, does anyone know what the specific differences are between Symphony of the Night on XBLA, PSN, and PSP?  As far as I know the XBLA version has altered sound effects, the PSN version is the original PS1 version, and the PSP version in DXC has a new voice cast.

Many thanks to any and all replies that can clear some of this up for me.

So I was playing Team Fortress 2 a while ago, and I happened to noticed that I had been repeatedly killed by the same demoman in the exact same location numerous times.  I then started to go after him and noticed that he kept camping this ledge in a corner planting stickies everywhere.  After numerous failed attempts at killing him as a spy and eventually ending with him getting a domination on me, I ragequit the game by holding the power button down on my laptop and then I went and ate some pizza while I contemplated my own failures in life.

So GiantBomb, when was the last time you ragequit a game?
