It's strange. You guys share so much of yourself in running this site, and it shows. It's a tribute both to your work and your personalities that this works so well, and it's truly a joy to watch your shows. You need never have any existential crisis even about what you do - it's a great thing.

Even if this is mostly a "real-only" relationship, I feel it very sad to hear the news of Ryan Davis passing, and wanted to say that, and wish you all well.

I work in a place where allot of sadness like this is unavoidable and daily, and just wanted to remind that this too shall pass, even if it is never any solace in hearing that for those who grieve.

I find there to be amazing parallels between how games are sometimes targeted for actions of crazy people that happened to play them, and how Muslims end up being attacked for the actions of a few. While it might be that games and religion reinforce some people's disposition towards atrocities, its crazy to blame things on them to the degree people do at times when you consider how many peaceful people there are for each terrorist.

That said.. violence in games and films is one thing, admiring it in real life another.

... i'm willing to bet the news wont dive in to more depths about what is mentally wrong with the guy, cause that would ruin their credibility for blaming video games. i feel absolutely heart broken for those people who were killed the other week, after i heard of this i knew that the games industry was going to take a beating. why? i hear you ask. cause it's the easiest target, police search the guys house and they find games such as those mentioned and they assume it was the games fault. talk about false assumption or a lack of real police work on to why the guy snapped. it's just biased new's that wants to spread fear in to others.

As far as I know the police has not even once mentioned video games, and in the debate over here it seems most people are dismissing the very few voices who bring up the fact that this man played video games - even non-gamers seem to agree games are not to blame.
As far as games go, this won't change anything, other than maybe reinforce the age-limits.  It's just a weird reaction from a company. Don't panic.

Good read.  I've been playing it since it launched here in Europe (got it right after midnight on a release party), and I'm still very impressed by the 3D.  Or, rather, I feel it adds so much to the depth of the game.  I've been playing Pilotwings, and it truly makes the world so much more alive.  Nintendo did something cool with this system, so lets just hope the games start flowing (and that they are not just ports).

Tonic might be good, but I find people have mixed opinions.  Slide a lime across the top of the glass (where you lips touch it), and it adds a little extra.   Personally, I like Gin Bitter, which is simply gin and bitter lemon.  Of course, Gin is best when really, really cold (:

Of course, as the night progresses I find myself having it on the rocks :p  Enjoy!

I don't feel these categories apply to me.  You should have an option to say none of the categories match you, perhaps?  If allot of people choose this, it might hint, as I suspect, that these categories are too simple.  These things are very hard.

Myself (I am a medical student, current topics are statistics, biology, human behaviour and more):  I always *feel* mathematics and biology as motions and changes,  but these feelings I express visually in my notes, especaily when I communicate it with others.  I think the combination of the visual and feelings aid my understanding.  I have a hard time learning things that cannot be described like this.  I also dress very casually, and I am not very good at auditory learning in general, yet my thought are sometimes very auditory, and working through things I find I do internal monologue allot, sometimes it also escapes through my mouth ;)  (it seems to me like internal monolgue actually adds new information, like putting words to things connects information in new ways).  Oh, and I dont think very fast.
