New RTS games seem to define themselves by their gimmicks. Starcraft has always been about balance, simplicity, speed, and, of course, strategy.

played the beta... this game is really bad. for a game all about unit management, there certainly isn't much management going on. not to mention every unit moves at half an inch a second. boring.

i really don't understand all the negativity that's going towards this game
SC was amazing, still is amazing, and really other RTS's haven't been able to pull off the RTS formula in a way that starcraft has
the best hope is taking the game and tweaking it a bit, but still having the core gameplay themes still persist
