I was eyeballing it yesterday but reviews seemed pretty consistent that you could blow through it in about an hour, and it encouraged quick play making it go even faster in some cases. The soundtrack is pretty fantastic though, so I might get it anyway even if I only plan to run through it once. It's a shame, because it seems like it would be super easy to recommend if there was just a little bit more content.

Games. The games are killing it. Just got one as a gift for Christmas. I've been spending a considerable amount of time trying to figure out what to get for it because I can't find anything that particularly interests me. This is one of those things that should not be a problem...

If your into replaying old classics and retro games, yeah, there's stuff out there for it, but pretty much everything worth playing on the eStore seems to be ports of old GBA games and the retail titles suffer from the same "lets just bank on nostalgia" problem where its like they're trying to re-release their entire N64 library.

If we start seeing some more RPG titles, unique titles like The World Ends With You, and just some fresh stuff in general. Right now there doesn't seem to be much to do with it unless you're looking to get nostalgia'd to death or have not become tired of playing the 100th mario game and 10th iteration of Starfox. It's a shame, because it's otherwise a very neat little device, but there needs to be something to DO with it.

As a side note: No online multiplayer for the 3DS Monster Hunter.....really?.....no seriously, REALLY?

I went through 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 no problems. How the hell is number 2 so confusing. I don't remember playing/hearing about a game where 2 people survived a calamity.

The hint in the quest is "Caelondians".

I really expected it to be the other two.

Agreed, and double agreed. Honestly, I don't see the point of having an "award show" period (outside of what the VGAs are obviously using it for) but if we did have to have one, the VGAs are the antithesis of what it should be and are, in fact, an embarrassment to gamers everywhere. It's like, just when people stop giving gamers a hard time, the VGAs show up again and paint everyone as ignorant, childish, buffoons and suddenly "games are for kids" again.

@Kordesh: what you saw was the live stream, they haven't uploaded the video yet. Just a warning: It turns into a 4 something hour Endurance Run.

Meaning that this will definitely be uploaded in multiple parts.

Did they finish the game?

yes, yes they did

And it was good.

Oh man, I can't wait for this to get uploaded then.

I was almost positive I saw this show up as a subscriber vid earlier today, but that I'm home and logged in I don't see mention of it anywhere but here. What fresh madness is this?

Steam has tried to get me to purchase Duke Nukem Forever several times from anywhere between $13 and $3.50 or so.....it was still never worth actually having on my profile...

I could never really get into the earlier STALKER games because of how buggy/unpolished they were, but I at least appreciated what they were doing and understood why people loved them so much. Sad day )=.

Hopefully this is the first step of Nintendo actually embracing online and creating a coherent profile system so that we can actually do DLC, have decent multiplayer, and do away with friend codes.

Accomplishments huh? I always hoped they would be called Coins )=
