I would prefer this if they brought Fable 2 to PC before they brought Fable 3 out. Especially if having played the game bestows some sort of benefit (story or otherwise) on the later game.
I just hope this galvanizes xbox live to go free for online play. I do not play online because as a pc gamer I absolutely refuse to play subscription games.
No, it states melee knife only. I was looking for a way to make it limp like I had other animals, but I didn't realize that shooting the hind legs would do it. I died at least seven times doing this until I tried the above tactic. I had to see how many shots of the buffalo rifle a bear would take to the body without dying too. Just so that it would cut down the amount of time I would be in danger of being mauled to death.
Master Hunter level 8 is the most ridiculous thing on the planet. It took me a lot of trial and error to get it done. Here is what you need to do: First, find a bear. The closer he/she is to Aurora Basin, the better. Once you have found this bear, shoot it at around 4 times with the buffalo rifle, but not in the head. Body and leg shots will do nicely. Although, this may take a few tries. The purpose is to get the bear's health down enough that you won't need to knife it a lot. After this, lure the bear away to either the northern or southern end of Aurora basin, as both of these areas are away from any other spawning animals (particularly bears). Just ride you horse slowly to these areas, ensuring that the bear is following behind. After you have gotten there, get off of your horse and wait for the bear. When the bear arrives, do not attack it when it is pointing its head at you. Basically, this is to stay away from the claws which are deadly. Whistle for your horse and the bear will have trouble deciding which one to attack. When the bear is distracted or running away, run after it and slash at it. After four buffalo rifle shots, it will be seriously hurt and should only need about two or three slashes before it is dead. When it is, congratulations and skin that sucker!
As much as this game looks fucking awesome and has great reviews already, I doubt that there will be much of a fervor for it. My impression is that the hype will not equate to immediate sales. While I doubt it will become a forgotten classic, I think that there will be limited buying at the start, regardless of the fact that it is a Rockstar open world game. I say go at midnight and see how it is. It will probably be fine.
