Oh, never mind now i get the connection, I thought the first quote was from the music industry, but now i realize it isnt. I still doubt, perhaps in my ignorance, that the government would shut down a site without beleving they can back it up in court.
We're talking about a government that has shut down businesses, steals property as "evidence", and then never presses charges. Even if they can't completely back up their claims, they can still basically dismantle and destroy everything.
The American government has hyper selectively targeted, deported, and arrested men who's country doesn't have sufficient law for them to be arrested.
Tens of thousands of people use megaupload for business file backup and personal use. I'm personally a bit outraged at how heavy handed the government is acting, hurting many people in their wake. It's actually a bit sick.
Old games aside, I'm pretty sure that even new PC games go through the thing where they become available used at a discount days after release, so I have no idea where you are coming from.
No, they don't. I don't know how that would be possible (aside from fringe cases).
No one accepts PC games back after they're used because of how CDkeys and DRM works now.
