Doesn't sound like framerates get in the way of the gameplay in DR3 so I'm happy about that, but it does look like a past generation game. Happy seeing such honesty in the reviews from IGN etc about these too.

Hm? Both Eurogamer & gamespot have mentioned that the framerate is consistently choppy throughout the game. It's not the doom and gloom 10fps that some people were professing at least, but it sounds like it's still less than ideal.

Weird, from the preview footage that GB guys brought back and talked over it looked like the game was consistently running at a smooth framerate even when murdering dozens of zombies on screen at a time.

Did we watch the same footage? I saw plenty of fps drops during the shown DR3 footage.

I give Polygon 4/10, I reviewed it Polygon style in that I told a friend what I thought of it and he gave it a score.

Such a close race. But Walking Dead was all about story and The Last of Us had a better one.. and actual gameplay.

I enjoyed the hell out of TWD up until episode 5 where everything just fell apart for me. I was more emotionally hit by the TLOU intro than the TWD finale.

I wonder how many vote here without having played both, seeing as TLOU is PS3 exclusive and TWD came out everywhere.

This is a pretty good point, even with TWD huge focus on story and character TLOU triumph it in both areas. Also I'd rather have a tight narrative experience than a story that manipulate you into thinking your decisions matter.

When the fuck are we going to get actual footage of The Order 1886?

This. I'd like to *something* of it other than a CG trailer, hopefully there'll be something at the GTTV launch event where 'announcements' be happening.

I would really like more info on this one too. I think besides Watch Dogs this is the game I'm excited for most.

Thinking about it, I think I'd also have to add the new Thief to my list. I love that series!!

The screenshots in the Game Informer story didn't look all that great, my guess is it's not ready to show yet.

I thought the screenshots looked fantastic also GI said it was the best looking next gen game they had seen. I would guess that they show a gameplay trailer at the VGAs.

Games "Journalism" only continues to be a problem because they are being labeled incorrectly. They are gaming "Critics" and the audience should expect from them what is expected of a critics. Opinions, personal preferences and "reviews" of product base on their own standards. So you know, expect nothing from the majority of them. I love Giantbomb tho, because they put themselves out their for the audience to get to know them on a personal level, so I/we can judge if we trust them or not. In my case, Giantbomb is the only place with gaming critics I trust.

I think calling them critics is even giving them too much credit, how can you be a true critic when half the budget of these sites comes from the company they have to critique not to mention many of them arrange exclusive deals/reviews and other partnership between critics and publishers. The best thing I have been able to come up with, is to call them enthusiastic opinionated internet people, too bad its so long :/

Great point but I'm really tired of all the "insightful" game videos coming in this breathless sort of format. As much as I think Danny O'Dwyer is a cool dude, his "The Point" videos bring this to mind.

Or maybe I just hate northern european accents.

I don't even kn....huh...

I don't get the hate towards the console, it clearly looks like the better deal and yet people are ignoring the facts. There is basic functionality missing from out the box, I mean MP3 support is kind of a major one :\ Like one of many they've only just revealed...

I don't see how it is funny to say they've stayed true to their goals of the Xbox One but have just gone back on the always on stuff they had planned? There is no contradiction there, Microsoft had a goal for the console with the services and Kinect and all that is still happening, it's just the DRM stuff has gone.

Sony on the other hand just seemed to do a rush job, lets take the camera out to react to Microsoft, making the light bar in the controller and the software that comes with the PS4 useless in the process. Then they've got a massive patch coming out so late in the day that the console wont even support blu-ray movie play back out of the box........ So combine that with no games at launch unless any one still actually cares about Killzone? Then nothing worthwhile that has been announced that is exclusive, I mean there are some things they've shown off, but none of it is all that exciting other than looking for excuses to own the console.

I just think logically you cannot say the PS4 is the better purchase in 2013.... knowing stuff like MGS V is coming to the Xbox One as well, it's like what do Sony actually have left? Gran Turismo is so far behind Forza these days, Naughty Dog are so over rated, I played The Last of us on my PS3, the first 20 mins were great, the rest of it was shit. Then I combine all that with knowing Sony's past history with online services....

Man, I facepalmed so hard I almost knocked myself out.
