I think D3 as with most solidly built co-op games are just sooo much fun to play with close friends, as the OP said " regularly would be up till 4 in the morning with my friends doing Baal runs like an idiot". Most of my friends that I gamed with in school have since stopped as I continue to game harder then ever, but its rarely as much fun solo. I bet if you got all your old buddies together , like a Diablo reunion , even if you were just playing D2 LoD you would have a blast and get more excited about D3.

Here is the link to the dev. reply to the question if you have access to the beta forum...

https://forum-en.guildwars2.com/forum/game/audio/Choosing-our-own-music/page/1#post157856

If you do not have access here is what was said by Jim Boer....

" It’s actually in and working, but the feature wasn’t publicly documented. Here’s how it currently works:

Under [Your Name]\Documents\Guild Wars Gw2Dev folder, you’ll see that GW2 creates a Music folder next to the Screens folder (where screenshots go). All you need to do to get your external music collection playing in the game is to create a playlist of the appropriate name and type in this folder.

Supported playlist formats are .wpl, .m3u, .pls, .asx, and .wax.

Supported audio types are everything FMOD supports by default, which includes .mp3, .ogg, .flac, .wav. aiff, and a bunch of old-school music formats, like .mid or .it files.

There are eight specific playlists the game recognizes, and these are designated simply by the playlist’s file name. They are: Ambient, Battle, Underwater, City, Crafting, BossBattle, NightTime, and MainMenu. Hopefully these are somewhat self-explanatory in terms of when you might expect to hear them play.

So, for example, if you create a playlist called Ambient.m3u, anything in that playlist will be heard instead of the standard in-game ambient music (the general music you hear when running around in the world).

Each internal playlist can designate a primary and secondary playlist to look for. Most of the playlists will fall back to Ambient if they do not exist. This means that if you’d like to simply replace the majority of the music in the game, you can just create an Ambient playlist, or maybe just Ambient and Battle. However, if you really want to customize your playlist in detail, you can create the more specialized playlists such as NightTime or Crafting.

The easiest (and at the moment, the only) way to test this is with a MainMenu playlist, since that will replace the music at the login screen."

  • Take a second every so often to stop and look around , its such a beautiful world that has been created for us , and as you bounce from heart to heart its easy to miss
  • (I think this may have been pointed out already but) When you jump "into the mist" for Structured PvP you are given a default load out of you skill points, you can reset this for free(at least you could during this BWE) and tweak your char. to fit you play style
  • Experiment with all available weapons/off hand items for each Profession , you might be surprised how much fun non-traditional weapons are ie. Elementalist using dagger + dagger
  • Reviving others, in addition to being the right thing to do(most of the time) nets you XP as well so , take a second a look for your fellow adventurer who may be in need of assistance

What an amazing gaming experience, I spent the entire weekend in awe and sleep deprived, RL is gonna take a hit when this one comes out lol

PvE-4/5

PvP-4/5

WvW-4/5

(I always like to leave room for improvement, otherwise would be straight 5/5's)

Cheers Arena.Net well done

Sorry if this has already been posted and I missed it but, Im not sure how I feel about the repair cost from WvW. I guess its good b/c you wont just live in there(need to make $$$ somehow) but that sure does sting when you notice your armor start to go missing from damage lol

Anyhow , here's a little PvP Ownage ...

@Rohok: No disrespect but I think if you are raging over something like not being informed ahead of time that you missed out on pre-purchase bonuses b/c as you said ", take my time to buy it, wait until my friends can give me a critique on it, and then when I finally do go to lay down 64 dollars to pre-purchase" you missed out on the bonuses , you may have bigger issues to worry about.
