Remember this game as being hard. Finshed it in my early childhood (7-8). Played it on my trusty Commodore 64.
This game rocked my world as a 8-9 year old. Played it with a friend on his NES.
Finished this great classic mutliple times and on different platforms. Both on C64 and as an XBLA title.
This game shipped with the NES in EU, and played it alot at a friends house.
The mega drive version came with my Mega Drive, and played the Master System version at a friends house.
Played it on my Mega Drive. Good times
Great game, finshed both version (Mega Drive and Master system
A friend got this game for free, as a thanks for his internship. Played through it and really liked it.
Got this game on a discount. Really good one, and completet it all the way on pc. Remeber it as one of the first games with noticeable graphical differences between running it on Voodoo1 and Voodoo2.
I owned the game, but not having a computer with a cd-rom drive, I played it with a friend on his new Pentium 90MHz.
Played it when it was release, but never think a got very far without cheats. But as it was re-released on XBLA I played through the whole thing legit.
Pretty decent reimagening
This is the game that made me finally switch to the potent Mouse Keyboard combination.
Great game, finished it on PC when it was first released, xbox via emulation and XBLA as a re-release.
Played it on pc, but finished it years later on xbox via emulation.
The multiplayer was really popular at LANs in my youth. Played through the whole things some years later.
Never got to experience this on the NES, but finished it on the SNES as the Mario collection thing.
On of the best games on the NES. Finished this many times thruogh the years.
Got stuck in a blizzard and had to seek shelter in a hotel. I had borrow MGS from my step brother, and a PS from a friend at school. Hooked it up to a television in the hotel room and was sold. Finished it a second time on pc, although it was a bad port.
Played it some on PS2, but later got it for pc. The controlles were horrible, so I invested in a gamepad. Then I was finally able to beat it.
Played the hell out of the shareware version. Later got the whole game. Never think I finished all the episode, before I got it on XBLA and beat it.
Played through this good game. I wasn't too impressed with it. It was a good game, but the sillyness and clunky gameplay I felt were outdated.
Favorite driving game for many years. Played it a bunch on the amiga.
Great Successor to a great game.
Had some hard moments, but overall a nice experience.
Blew my mind away, but never really liked it in multiplayer, except for many years later.
I remeber this got release around the same time as C&C. While I prefered C&C this was still a great game, and a pleasure to play through. Played alot around with the map editor.
Got it upon release, and quickly played through the campaign. The costume games were a blast.
Good expansion
Got it for chrismas. Really stuck with me, and played through it with a friend. Was very popular at LAN parties.
After the first one, it was a must have.
Fun expansion, but ultimately a little disappointing.
I loved this game. Alot of my friend were disappointed, but I loved the physics, graphics, atmosphere and optional exploration. The world felt "real". The last 1/3 is definetly the weakest.
Played this alot on both Amiga and PC.
Worthy successor
My first Civ LAN experience. Really good game to play far into the night.
I really liked the sci-fi theme.
Played this with a friend. This was the height of Westwood studios.
Played coop on the 360. Not a great game.
Played this on both the pc and xbox. Played through it on PC, as a first got my xbox in 2004.
3 player coop, epic ending.
One of the first games for my fathers 386, very nice platformer.
Played this on the trusty 386. I remember it as pretty long, and only a childs stubbornness could keep me at it.
Played it a year after Doom. Not really that good, but decent enough.
Fantastic game. Two of my friends were raving about it at school, and another friend was playing it 4 player LAN. I first got the demo later and played it with a friend. Hell of a game.
Got a reviewer copy with a friend. The game was really good, but I prefered the atmospher from the first game, and the graphics were almost better in the first.
After Diablo II i was looking forward to LoD, and was not disappointed. I must have played the opening chapter about a hundred times.
This classic completely avoided my attention until at was rereleased on XBLA. Fantastic game.
Borrowed this from a girl at my school. Great game. But it gut stolen while on vacation in the Netherlands.
After months of positiv talk about this game (from the Giantbomb site) this game finally arrived to my hot anticipation. A really good game, but a little too short. Almost as good as Casltevania: SotN
Really great game, and excellent ending.
Was having a gaming weekend with a friend. Bought 2x this game for practically nothing, and made a challenge of who could finish this first. I was the only one playing about halfway through. Man what a pain, but got it none the less.
Played this solely for the achievements (xbox 360). Game was horrible. The humor could care it about 1/4 through the game. This was somewhat early in my 360 gaming so achievements were a bigger draw then now.
Played this after getting my Slim U2 edition in 2009 (normal but with Uncharted 2 in the box). Had to finish the first one before playing the second, so this was my first PS3 game to get finished.
Got this around release for a systemlink weekend. Had only bought my xbox about a week before, so had no expectation for the game. Was a big hit.
After the first one, I got this for a coop playthrough with the same buddy from the first one. Was not disappointed (only in the easy last boss).
Great adventure game. After playing their first game, I was really looking forward to this. Tried to make everyone survive, but the FBI agent died, because a wanted to roleplay him as unable do quit his addiction while solving a case of this magnitude.
Graphics were nice, and framerate was great. The game wasn't terrible, but it had alot of stupid trappings. As a competitor to God of War, it seems like they only tried to surpass the first one, and they didn't even accomplish that.
Preordered from gamestop. Had a great sense of destruction and a REALLY good feeling of a fucked/infected city. But other than that, the game wasn't great.
Played it a little at a friends house on PS2. Was very impressed, and as a PC port came out, I was finally able to really sink some time into it.
Great game. The setting was perfect. The sound of 80's pop, while doing driveby's was beautiful.
The game that came with my xbox. Decent enough, and the online was also able to take up some hours.
The beta convinced me to get this game at release. The feeling and aiming was spoton, and the singleplayer and multiplayer was phenomenal.
Really liked the sequel. The story was better in the first one, but the storytelling was even more actionpacked in the second one. Online was still great (despite alot of complaining).
Gameplay was a little clunky, but after trying it at a friends house, I bough a asian copy and really enjoyed the roleplaying and story.
Preorder from Gamestop. Very good game but had some flaws. Gotta sink some more hours into it.
My cousin wasn't to much into this game, so I bought hes copy. Played it some in 1999, but never got very far. Later played it with a friend in LAN, and not long after finally completed it.
Not really that scary, but rather creepy. Very nice game with tight gameplay mekanics. Was very surprised how good it was. Played throught it more than once. Def. looking forward to the sequel.
Picked this up for the xbox without expectations. Was really impressed by the game. Had some flaws, but overall a very good experience. Flaws include: Story in last 1/3, scenes felling rather disconnected, sneaking as kids.
Was really looking forward to this. Turns out the game was crap. Cool elements with the story wraping around the player, but everything else was a disaster. Gameplay mekanics, main story, shooting, polish, etc.
Played close to the end in RE1 on pc, but this one was the first I completed. First time with a friend, second time with my little brother. After being discoraged by the demo, I gave it a shot and loved it.
Played through this as a 10-11 year old. Was very hard to understand the puzzles and to get a grip on the tank like combat, but a very satisfying experience. The first one was better thou, but never completed it.
Preordered the game. The game quickly felt a little iffy, but I really enjoyed the game. Played through the first chapters with a friend, but he didn't like it, so I had to start over on my own. I could see the flaws people were complaining about, but a really enjoyed the puzzle and exploration parts. Could not jump into it to complete the last achievement.
Think it was the first time you could experience the landing in normandy. Good game at the time. Never learned to show my passport in the "sneaky" mission, so had to shoot my way through.
Fascinating 3D game, was really disorienting but great fun and beautiful graphics.
Really great and dark point and click game. Had a more serious tone than many of the lucasarts games.
Really good game to nail the feel of being a jedi. Was beginning to use the internet some time before the release, and saw some pictures, but didn't get the hype. Got it a year after release and really liked it. Maps were large, weapons were cool, great lightsaber figthters.
Started a bit slow, but really picked up. Great multi and singleplayer alike.
Played through this instant classic on pc. Very entertaining.
As 3D graphicscards were becoming more popular, this game was release for pc with stunning visuals. I played through the game on pc, and really enjoyed it.
I was so hyped for this game. I had a magasine with a review of this game, and I was daydreaming about how great it was. When I got it, it was different from my daydream, but it wasn't disappointing. Played this game for many years since 1994.
Alot harder than Ufo Defence, but did have some good improvements. Most of the game was a reskin however, but it was still great.
Definitly got enough "Lego" while playing this game with my little brother, but I got through it.
Playing this with a friend on a borrowed Nintendo 64 was great times. I year later it was still a hit in splitscreen.
As this game was a flagship for the Voodoo 3Dfx card, I played it alot on pc. Later got to play it on the Nintendo 64, but got back and finished it on pc.
Great game, and a worthy Mario game for the main series.
As a huge fan of System shock, I was looking forward to this. A little disappointed in its simplicity, but still a great game. I often wonder what it would have been like, if it had been like the early previews talked about (worm like enemies with a hive like infrastructure, set in an abandoned ww2 bunker, using quake 3 engine).
Got it mid-09, but first got to play it 2010. Really a great game, and looking forward to Arkham City.
Probably the first game I had to set to easy, in order to finish it.
One of my first games for the xbox 360. Not a great game, but desent fun to play through with my little brother.
A Mario Kart clone for pc. As i didn't have a SNES back then, I played this a whole lot instead.
Discovered this game, and really liked it. Got all the way through its empressiv and massiv levels. A year later I installed it again to try the multiplayer patch. The gameplay didn't fit this sort of thing very well.
Good game, but disappointing sequel. The graphics were good, but the levels were too small and clastrofobic.
One of the first game for my gameboy in 1993. Very good game and played it alot. Loved the (then) hilarious ending, with Darkwing falling of his bike, making a siluet against the moon.
My step brother had this game for Master System. It took alot of time for 2 10-12year old boys to complete the game.
Great game, had alot of hours of gameplay for me as a 10 year old.
After my enjoyment of DotT, a friend of mine talked about this "Sam & Max" game, and I was curios. Back then most of hype for gaming came from word of mouth. The game did not disappoint.
Great game, and dark story and cool characters. A little on the short side, and the fighting gameplay is a pain. Still hate the "stunt driving" sequence, but finished it again in 2008 on the xbox via scummvmx.
This game didn't get stellar review, but a really like the tone, music and story. It's not the longest Lucas Arts adventure game, but still took me a long time to finish.
Got this as an XBLA titel at launch. Didn't play it until mid-2010. Was pretty disappointed. The story and storytelling was pretty weak, and the fighting mekanic was a bit too clunky. The design was great however, but the graphics only mediocre.
Got this game from a friend at school in 1994. I really enjoyed point and click adventure games, but this one was the first one with a dark tone to it.
Short game, but decent graphics and ok humor. Played it with a friend in 1998, and have completed it three times total to this date.
Great game. Got it for the xbox, and was blown away. The graphic, art and level design was great.
Many people love this game, but it sold few copies. Played through it around release on the xbox. Must have been 2004.
Tried the first episode of the new Sam and Max some time after its release. About 2008 I think. Was quite good.
Got the Monkey Island package on steam sale. Played through the first episode, and really enjoyed it. Must play through the rest soon.
A friend bought this game after trying the demo. I borrowed it from him, and really liked it. Nice game, and great fun back in 1998.
Got this some time after release. Really enjoyed it, and completed it on xbox. The gameplay was solid for my 1000 achievement points, but I don't think I would be able to play through it again. To little variety.
Classic. Remember this from the arcades, but finished the Amiga version first.
Bought this game as a boy because of the albumart alone. What a great surprise. Played this alot with a friend, and bought it again on XBLA.
Not the best graphics, but had to play through it, after the phenominal SoR2.
Borrowed it from a friend in 1997-1998. Great fun, and really good two player. Loved to grabble my friend and making fun of the suggestive poses.
Really different from its more simish predeccessor, but a great arcade style racing game none the less.
The cars had a heavy handling, but great graphics and gameplay made this a hit at LAN parties in my youth.
After the horrible Hot Persuit 2, this was a refreshing diversion. Good handling, great soundtrack, and fast gameplay.
Crappy game, achievement hunt alone and it was even cheap too. Only got 225 points for my troubles.
One of the great games I played on my xbox in 2004.
Remember looking forward to this and MGS2. Played Splinter Cell on the pc, and what a treat.
This time I played it on xbox, and the controles felt better. Very good levels, and played through the coop campaign with a dude from the UK using a tunneling service.
Had its flaws, but a really good game. Was a preorder at gamestop, but happy my brother didn't follow my lead, and got Bf:BC2 instead.
Summer of arcades does deliver great games. Didn't let me down in 2008.
While waiting for GTA4, this game helped keep me occupied. I loved the random mayhem combined with ragdoll effects.
Enjoyed it in arcades as a child, but didn't get through it until the rerelease on XBLA.
4 player LAN on xbox became a tradition with this game. Great fun.
Good successor, but the formula got a little tirering for my sake.
A little on the expensive side, but its close enough to death rally, so its a no brainer.
Great console game. Had taken up many hours, and made me go way to late in bed more then one night.
Good adventure game. Got it for a bargain, but wasn't one of my first game. Really enjoyed the experience however.
A good mix of adventure/action/shooter. The game got old fast, but at its release I think it was pretty good. Startet playing it on the xbox, but finished it when a switched to 360.
Decent enough game. Played through it in coop, and worked well enough. There was however a problem with progression and achievements in coop.
Got this as a compensation for xbox live problems past the holydays in 2008. Descent game, but never played it much past the campaign.
Great humor and story. Preordered the think and really liked the experience. The gameplay wasn't so hot though.
Pretty bad but not broken action platformer. Dont know how I got to play as long as to get 1000/1000.
Liked the demo for its slowmo gore. Decent enough mekanics, but I got it some time after release and the mekanics hadn't aged well. Broken online though.
My friends dvd-drive died, so we tried this out as a coop game. Very bad. The first 2 hours were ok, but it got really old fast. The old ones are SOOO much better. And the ending for this was none existent.
My first guitar hero game. Got is as a present from my GF for my 24th birthday. Really played the hell out of it.
Great tracklist, but harmonix really upped the game with rockband. Still played it alot.
Guitar heros jump to full band experience. Pretty decent but far behind Rock band 2. The hardware was better though.
Got this cheap, and the playthrough wasnt horrible. Xbox version
Great fun and beautifully made Magic game. Played through it with a friend in coop and singleplayer. Only omission is the ability to make your own deck.
Not that fun, but doesn't get painful before its finished. Easy 200/200.
Bought this with a friend to export to RB2. Great trackpack, but ultimately a bit expensive. Played through the game, and got pretty damn tired og big rock endings.
Somewhat fun, although not that much. Couldn't get my self to 1000 it, after completion.
Played the trial of feeding frenzy 2 as it was release and enjoy it. The game got really tiresome before I got through it, but I stuck with it and got 200/200.
Great expansion for a great game. Got this some time in 1999.
Great little XBLA game. A joy to hunt for the complete 200points.
This was one of the first games on the 360 to really impress me. The graphics and scope were great. The story and gameplay were entertaining.
Got this for a decent price on xbox. The story is put into the main story pretty well, but the game wasn't much fun.
Really enjoyed playing through this game, but don't think I would have enjoyed more than one playthrough. Xbox 2007.
Not that great, but got through it with my GeoW buddy. He hated it,. but I kept him at the fire for long enough to get through it.
Played through this game on both xbox and 360. A really good game, but the 360 one was disappointing as the differences were only marginal.
Remeber this from my early childhood. Didn't understand it very well then, so I first finished it as it was release on XBLA. A great classic none the less.
This game came with my Geforce 6800U and I really enjoyed it. The gameplay elements really came together quite well.
Played through this in 2007. Not a big sportsfan, but easy achievements.
Got this game on my then new pc, and the graphics were amazing. The game was decent enough, and there were some scares here and there.
Played this game alot on my amiga in the 90's. First later I realised how crappy a port it was. Got the Remix edition on xbox, and it still holds up very well.
First encounter with anything CSI. Really enjoyed playing through it, even though it was a bit of a pixel hunt. Think it must have been 2005 on pc.
Got it for a bargain for 360, and it was decent enough.
Great game, played it alot on the amiga.
Bought this one on PC after having tried the arcade version in the Netherlands.
Played this at a friends house, as his big brother had bought this and a gaming pc. He could beat all of us, but it was fun none the less.
I guess I might be the only one, but I enjoyed this first venture for MK into 3D. I don't think I would like it today, but back in 1998 it was fun.
One of my favorit game of 1995. Bought it even without having a pc with a cd-rom drive.
Updated graphics were nice, but the feeling wasn't quite as good as in the original.
Far from great, but fun enough to play through with a friend.
Great amiga game. Played it as late as 2004 with the help of emulation. Last time on the amiga hardware was 2000.
Really wellmade adventure game. Hope they make more episodes.
Well made RTS. Played through the campaign and alote of multiplayer with friends.
The good expansion. Good campaign and new factions online. They never got it balanced, but great fun anyway.
The not so good expansion. Added 3 small campaigns, which did some interesting stuff, but the online was a stalemate. Only new optional units, no noteworthy gamemodes.
A real classic. I think I got Flashback for my amiga first, but never finished without cheats. I tried this not long after. Great games both of them, but difficult.
I really loved this game. Played the demo and then borrowed it from a friend. Some of the puzzle elemtents arent that great, but the atmopher and story are top notch.
Really good Turtles game. Had it on 2 floppy discs, and even though they also contained a virus, I could not keep myself from playing it.
Played this alot one time on vacation on Majorca. Good beatem up. Really spend alot of money on it.
Owned this on my trusty C64. Good port and nice game. A bit on the hard side, but very enjoyable. Remember that I was very impressed with the arcade version.
A really great game on the NES. Completed it with a friend on his NES. I believed he rented the game for a weekend.
I loved the arcade game, and years later I got it for Mega Drive. A little disappointed in the stiff controls and graphics, but it was still a good game.
On of the best space sim's out there. Very good story and atmosphere. Graphics were great and varied missions.
Good game, had some interesting ideas. The one big downside was that the world was stale, and therefor wasnt good as a multiplayer game (economi wasnt changing etc.)
Good game. The atmosphere of the different species was right on. The marine campaign was the best however. The multiplayer was alot of fun but REALLY imba.
A good followup. Alien campaign was alot better, marine campaign had great lighting but wasnt as good as the first one. Multiplayer was more playable but lacked the same atmosphere.
Played this around 1995. Great game. Borrowed it from a friend at school and really enjoyed it. Could not put it down.
A decent platformer. Borrowed it from a friend who clamed it could not be finished. Played it for a weekend straight, and got through it.
The original! Don't know how many times I have finished this one. Great game for sure.
Great shoot em up for the pc.
Finished this remake of a great shoot em up years later. Still a good game.
The game is a good experience, but empty sandbox world and fractured storytelling, leaves a mark.
Great and dark adventure game.
The great original and precursor to the RE games.
Played it on the old Genesis
Great game, nothing less
What a mediocre game. First impression is decent, with the gritty graphics, but the gameplay wears out long before the short game is over.
Good and unique action rpg from westwood
Sorry former guys at Grin, but this game is baaad.
Good story, but the storytelling isn't as strong as earlier titles. Mostly because of bad buildups, but the checkpoint system is also not that great.
Finished it a little late, but got through it and enjoyed the experience :)
Pretty decent and funny dialog. The combat gets tedious a little quick because it lacks variation, but thankfully the game isn't that long.
While the gameplay leaves room for some improvements, the storytelling, story and writing is top notch. A great experience, best enjoyed through doses.
Mediocre actiongame that fights to keep your attention even through the first playthrough
One of the many sim games from the 90's
Very challenging and enjoyable retro game with great music and visuals
Pretty bizzare adventure game. Has a slightly twisted humor, but still a good game.
Good gameplay is scattered throughout this game, but it linear nature and bad design choices stops it from achieving greatness.
Fun game. A great sequel to its predecessor. The endgame is a little short, and most of the coordination heavy puzzles are hidding in coop, but still a great game.
Pretty shallow beat'em up, but at least the characters are pretty different.
Good sequel
A pretty b-esque GeoW clone. Mechanics don't really come together and playing the melee character is boring.
A campaign with ups and down, but ultimately a little mediocre.
Still a great atmosphere, but surely not as great as I was hoping for. Actually a bit disappointing. Too easy and reused puzzles, exept for the "next number in sequence" which are terrible in their own way. Game seems shorter then the first, and not fan of all the turns the story takes (but not much so).
Nice little game with good gameplay, bossfights and visuals. A little on the short side.
Probably the weakest campaign in the Modern Warfare series, but still enjoyable and tighs up the end nicely.
The setting is somewhat interesting, but the storytelling is filled with cheap moments and bad dialog. The plot is also very week. A mediocre experience, with decent shooting and an all to short campaign.
Great gameplay & great design from Blizz yet again :)
Decent enough, but insultingly simple and short for a full retail price
Great game. As the original it is very ambitious and well made, but still a little flawed. But definitly with the time.
Great addition to the original Homeworld. Added many strategic options.
Great game, this story isn't so strong, but the puzzles is the hightlight.
When you get the hang of the controls, the game makes you feel like a badass agent. The story isn't great and could have used some more setpieces and abilities. Fall a little short of expectation, but still an enjoyable playthrough.
Strong story that keeps you engaged throughout.
Decent mix of Limbo and Shadow Complex. Ultimately a little disappointing. Too short, a bit too linear and the emotional plot seems a bit unearned.
Decent adventure game. A bit short and bad dialog, but the story is interesting.
Quick little kids game. Not the tightest of controls.
Great ending for the main Gears of War series.
GREAT indie game. Diverse gameplay, lots of challenge, random "levels" = lots of replay value.
Great soundtrack
Nice little smartphone game. Maybe a bit too simplistic.
After all these years I finally finished this game. Its a good old school rpg, but maybe a bit to cryptic in spots.
Great remake of the original. But the ending seems a little abrupt.
The inclusion of choice and different outcome is a welcome one. The idea of Strike Force missions is ok, but poorly executed and the story is a mess. A big step down from MW (and even from MW3).
Descent enough. Some dialogue and plot points could have been better, but a descent playthrough.
Wild, crazy and wierd. The characters are hard to relate to, but the storytelling is interessting (although the story itself is not). A good game at a budget price.
One of my favorite games of 2012. Great indie/rouge title. The gameplay is desceptively deep.
