An often-overlooked classic that harkens back to a bygone era (N64)
There was a time in video games, not long ago, when every single detail of a game didn't have to make perfect sense. When not every city had to be the most majestically realized polygonal urban zone you had ever witnessed. When we didn't have to come up with asinine ...

A needlessly arcaic music game with no incentive to gain skill (PS2)
Let me start off by saying that I really am trying to objectively evaluate the game. I'm not trying to trash it just for the sake of being a jerk. Also, just so all the Beatmania nerds out there stop telling me this: I know that this is not a ...

Thank You Sir, May I Have Another? (XBLM)

More of the same, but still great (DS)

CONS: Difficulty can become extremely unforgiving, not quite as many great songs ...

Not like the old Burnouts, but probably the best open-world racer (X360)
Burnout Paradise hooked me from the very first time I loaded it up and saw that the Start screen hits you with a wide shot of Paradise and the cool sounds of Guns 'N Roses' "Paradise City" (what else?). This is opposed to the usual Burnout fair of some sort ...
