Apparently even more of a footnote is Takedown. It raised $100,000, but that's only half of its goal, and there's only 5 days to go. That project went wrong in a few ways. It didn't even start with a name, for the first 20 days, it was just "Crowdsourced Hardcore Tactical Shooter." We knew nothing about it other than the guys behind it really wanted to make something "hardcore." You got the sense that THEY knew nothing about it. Without a solid plan or presented idea for what you want your game to be, and without any well-known names behind the project, it was pretty much doomed to be unsuccessful from the start. If you aren't famous, you have to give us some very good reasons why we should back your project, otherwise it may never happen. ESPECIALLY if it's $200,000.

Looks like Auditorium 2 will be a late bloomer. I really hope it pulls through, I want that game to be really successful.

Mike Morhaime also said today via twitter I think that we can expect a Diablo 3 release date in the "coming weeks". A delay seems relatively unlikely (although never rule it out).

I'm going to stick with the Wi-Fi, as I'll be playing this at home almost exclusively.

Why not play a PS3 then? Why use a handheld?

There's been studies that have shown that most people play handhelds almost exclusively at home. There's a certain convenience factor involved with being able to carry it wherever in the house. On the toilet, in bed, in the living room while simultaneously watching TV, etc.

I had a modded FSX install that was over 50GB. That game was kind of insane.

That said, this is a little underwhelming. Hawaii? And other regions available via microtransactions? How many other regions? How detailed will they be? Every single other modern Flight Simulator game had the entire world. Limiting it just to select regions is massively disappointing.

I'd like a shot at Fallout New Vegas.

Several of the sidequests in Arkham City set up a sequel bigtime so one is obviously coming. But this? Most likely just a joke.

Miyamoto hasn't been intimately involved with any project since the first Pikmin. Him stepping down from his creative director status to a more direct designer role is great news to me. I'm interested to see what his first game is and if he still has the chops as a pure game designer like he used to. What type of game will he make, I wonder?

Xenoblade lives up to the hype. I honestly think that it's so polished, so well made and thoughtfully executed that, with the right marketing push, it could stand toe-to-toe with the biggest Square-Enix releases and reinvigorate the JRPG genre in North America in a way that it hasn't been since the first half of the PS2's lifespan. Nintendo wont give it this marketing push and will drop it in almost silently at the end of a dying console's lifespan, but at least we're finally getting it.

edit: Ahahaha, just watched the official NA trailer. Who gave the interns the editing software? What a mess.

This game is doomed to failure if it doesn't come out at least a month before Diablo 3. Shame about Runic, I liked that company, hate to see them go down like this.
