the old player was bad. video reset when paused for 20-30minutes. it was slow and had weird bugs. but at least the video quality was good and it worked.
this new player is absolutely bad. even with the biggest problems fixed, video quality is worse than the old player. some videos dont work in HD quality(tera and lanterns finale for example - 720p video will not load).
i was watching random QL and my flash just crashed. this DID NOT happen on gb.com before - EVER. and i watched days worth of video here.
i was really hoping that gb.com will implement some better player. but this one is a joke. sad thing is that they cant revert it now. as i understood the new player has some kind of ads system build in = more $$$$$$ .

edit: my flash player just crashed 2nd time. 2 times in one 30min QL video. CMON!
and the best part? skipping in video does not work yet, so i can wait another 5-10 minutes before it buffers again. on 100mbit line. welcome to the 20th century. FUCK THIS!

giantbomb could have official mobile application. its probably hard or impossible to implement GB login into unofficial mobile app.
its lame that people watch premium videos without paying. but on the other hand, few years ago as student i couldnt pay for my premium acc. now i cant imagine not paying year membership. you guys deserve every $. im sure that most people who can afford it and enjoy GB.com will pay for premium even if its possible to get all videos for free somewhere else.

@Swoxx: i think that it happens sooner. anyway that is the point. rarely i have 2-3 hours to watch one video in one go. mostly i watch 30-40minutes and then go back to it later.
giantbomb is focused on long shows, i think that video player should support that. i have seen this bug only here on GB.com. youtube, own3d, justin and other streaming services work OK.

one of the best TV show series finale was in The Shield. Show had its highs and lows but the ending was brutal.
Lost was very good but until they started flashbacks in flashforwards in alternative universe future(in flashback). ending was weirds and underwhelming.

2 hours long HD video has 3GB. it is very inconvenient to download it before watching. mostly because GB.com cant max my 100mbit connection.

youtube HD stream is lower quality than GB HD (afaik).

progressive method is storing the 3GB video on HDD as i watch the video right? and it cannot seek skip to any part of the video. it can seek skip only to already downloaded part.

all in all, it seems that most convenient method is still streaming method, which is broken for a LONG time :/

this is the BIGGEST problem i was able to find on this page. it happens on my notebook(ffox+winXP) and PC(ffox+win7) - using streaming method(HD or low).
this bug is EXTREMLY annoying while watching 2+ hours videos. each time after longer pause the video resets and crashes in a weird way. i need to reload the whole web page and search for the position where i paused it before the reset.
i hope we could get some answers in this topic :/
