Long time listener, first time caller here! Extremely excited to get involved on the streaming side of things for once, and make sure I'll do everything I can to raise money for all the sweet babies around the world.
The list of games will be something like:
1. PUBG
2. Tabletop RPG (One shot of sorts)
3. XCOM 2: WOTC
4. A random smattering of NES games that are probably trash.
5. Jackbox 1 to 3 (4 if it's released by the time!)
6. Hitman
And plenty more! Anyone interested in setting up some synced fun times, playing together or what not, let me know! We can probably set up some goofy stuff!
I'm a long time MOBA player, mostly Dota 2 and on-again-off-again LoL player. I am hardly familiar with every item or every bit of nuance when it comes to League, but I've had the urge to get better at it recently. And while playing with randoms is alright, I rarely try out new champions in order to keep the pubbies satisfied with my performance.
In other words: I wanna find some friendly duders to just play LoL with. Sure, I'd like to get better, but having fun is part of that experience.
Are there any active GB community members on the EU servers who'd like to team up and make some Grade A big plays?
Absolutely agreed! I do honestly think the way they leave the story up in the air for you as rip open the wrapper and browse through the new tools in your arsenal adds to the whole experience.
That's what happened to me when I was drafting. Suddenly I felt like the major characters and events were at my fingertips. Rather than "Oh, I just destroyed/exiled your dude", it'd be "Oh man, I just UNMADE your beast, much like Sorin unraveled the very being of Avacyn!'
Like you said as well, there's much more you can do to learn about the story if you want to. But the fact that you don't need to do so, and that it still manages to imprint memorable bits of lore through art and one-and-a-half sentence of flavour really says something about the craft at work.
Goddamnit... The part where I broke down was the mention and thanks to Ryan. Jesus Christ, Patrick, best of luck wherever you may go next. Whatever it is, they'll have a reliable, independent and downright skilled journalist. I'm currently in the last year of university, mere pages away from getting my degree in journalism. And I can only hope I'll be half as professional as you are. Godspeed. <>
