There is no difference between the Xbox One and Steam's DRM schemes...except one requires an additional $50 a year to play other people over the internet.

And the fact you can last I don't know, A month in Steam's offline mode.

To be honest I am kind of considering it. Almost to the point of considering to play whatever games I can run on this laptop (It can run most newer games pretty well) and handheld games, mainly because I put more time into handheld games and tend to have (in my opinion) better libraries than most consoles. So PC, 3DS and Vita. Unless you count those as part of this generation too.

I may get a PS4 but I doubt it.

@mrpilkington: I completely agree with you on that. RPGs, in my opinion, have been much better in recent years on handhelds than the home consoles.

Sadly everything needs a gimmick now a days apparently.

I noticed the last few years, this generation in particular that we are about to leave, that the handheld library, in my opinion has been some of the most fun I have had with most of the home consoles.

Yup, motionjoy is a great thing, I switch between it and a 360 controller I own. PS3 controller is really responsive.

Other than WiiU sales (which need to be improved somehow) I don't think they are in too much trouble.
